Unpretentious menu promising and delivering simple, delicious food. Fresh fish, good wine, charming owners and a stone's throw from Edinburgh Central. Really a charming place for a delicious lunch. Highly recommended little restaurant.

Absolutely fabulous food! We work away in Edinburgh so dine out weekly. This has to be up there with best of them, in Edinburgh. Set price for two courses. Well worth a visit. 👍. Highly recommended.

Really good quality seafood cooked/ prepared very well. All very tasty. Not the widest selection of drinks but lovely friendly staff. A bit more expensive than we were expecting (maybe festival time surcharge?) at £30pp for two courses as a set menu. Enjoyable meal regardless and would recommend, perhaps in low season though.

Had a delicious Saturday lunch time meal here. Fresh fish, beautifully cooked and nicely presented. Excellent service. If you can't get a table in the evening, plan a lunch time visit so you don't miss out.

What a hidden gem
The food was delicious, great selection on the menu, very tasty, cooked to order and staff were really friendly. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed, from York and will definitely be coming back soon. Thanks to all for a wonderful evening.

We were extremely impressed by the friendly and unobtrusive service and the excellent quality of the food. A minor adjustment which we requested was accommodated with no fuss. We will be returning here and wish we lived closer so we could visit more often. A great restaurant.

Love this place, the food is always amazing and fresh and the service is excellent. The lady who runs front of house is always warm and great chat. The price is amazing for the quality of food served. It's cosy and cute inside with great views of the harbour!
