Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Ordered online, 2 for $25, curbside pick-up. We were on time, after waiting over 5 minutes, we went inside. When I said I did an on-line order, they checked a computer, and then began our order. Not only was it not ready, they had not started. The fries were fresh since it was just fried. :) The portions were small, the baked potato casserole looked like mashed potatoes with cheese on top (which had an after-taste like moldy cheese does); the baked beans looked and tasted like Campbell's bean; the cole slaw was good; the dinner rolls seemed like factory micro-bread squares. The brisket had a good taste but was dry. Pork ribs were small but good.

So as someone pretty familiar with Dickey's from other parts of the country I will start off by saying that the quality is on par with everywhere else. I did notice the ribs were saucier at this location than I am used to, I tend to like my ribs a bit more dry rub type. Anyway, service was exceptional and food was great. I am giving 4 stars instead of five because the prices are not just higher than I am used to, but astronomically so. Like I know costs are being passed on to consumers and businesses are having to fight to stay alive, but I think the pricing for the quantity of good was a little out of control. A rack of ribs and a two meat plate with sides was nearly 60 dollars after tip. Again. I know it's not entirely their fault, but I also know that that level of pricing seemed excessive even in this economy. I'll probably return because I have always enjoyed their food, but it may have to be a bit less frequently.

I had a 2 plate delivered for lunch with a side of Mac and Cheese, the meat was cold but didn't taste bad so it was ok. However, the mac and cheese was straight rotten, I took one bite off the top and spit it out, then when I stirred it I found mold on the bottom. It was absolutely disgusting and I will never eat from this establishment ever again!
