What can I say. We have been to Dunoon twice on holiday and both times had fish and chips from these guys. Quite simply the best I have had. Chips are great but the fish is always fresh and the batter is lovely. You get small or large, in a large portion, you get 2 full fish.
Quick and friendly service too, even though it is always busy.

An exellent fish and chip shop. Superb service delivery and from shop. I only wish they would leave a telephone message when they are closed. The web site said open we phoned constantly for 40 minutes - no answer. Gave up. No meal!

Absolutely amazing... 8 of us traveling from Rothesay to here popped in for a bite to eat. The fish and black pudding was the best we have had in a very long time more than a decade at least. 10 stars 🤩

The best fish and chips we have tasted hands down! My partner and I have just made our yearly pilgrimage to Dunoon, and the ultimate highlight is always fish and chips from the lovely Marco and Giulia at Anselmo’s. Incredible! Best quality and standard, served from a lovely couple! We’ll be back! xx

Don’t bother even looking anywhere else this is by far the best chippy for miles, family owned and the food is cooked fresh and always fantastic. 10/10

Came here due to seeing all the good reviews and we were not disappointed! Best fish and chips we’ve had not just in a long time, but ever! Well worth every penny for the amount you get!

Cracking Chippy in Dunoon. Stayed at Hunters Quay for a week, and went here first night. Really friendly staff, had s nice chat with the boss, who knows his stuff. Told me he does the frying that traditional Italian way... he wasn't kidding.
The batter still had a crunch right til the end, almost 40mins later, i had to drive back to the lodge. The Haddock was really tasty, not a skimpy portion, well worth the price.
It was so good, I went back on my last night and it was just as good.
I will definitely go here anytime I am in Dunoon.

Anyone from Dunoon knows the best place to get fish and chips is Anselmo's! The food has always been very good for years, portion sizes are decent and well worth every penny. Very friendly and helpful staff too! Would recommend to anyone - local or visitors.
