Holt's Bakery

I had heard about this bakery and was in the area and stopped by. With each bite I sd "ummm". My son and husband loved their desserts as well. I wish I could have gotten the pound cake by the slice though....Oh I forgot to mention that the desserts are super inexpensive!!! You definitely want to stop by this landmark!

I walked in, noone greeted us. We walked to the counter. 3 people walked in after us. One woman was waiting and finishing up with a woman the other woman was helping a mother and daughter. We stood there for about 6 to 8 minutes then the woman was done with her customer. She walked to the other side of the counter and asked the 3 women that came in after us if she could help them they did not answer. I held my hand up and said we are ready and we're here waiting for awhile. She looked at me looked away and them asked the 3 women again if she could help them. Was in there for approximately 15 mins and noone spoke to us at all or even attempted to help us. No customer service skills at all. There were 2 woman up front doing absolutely nothing but talking with eachother. We walked out. We have a holts in our town 2 hours away and they are one of the friendliest most helpful people and businesses around. Hopefully they are not affiliated with the one in Douglas Georgia.
