We turned up to this place late afternoon
And was welcomed to stay in the car park in our Motorhomes and we went in and had evening meal
Well wow so lovely we had ribs with special chips and one of us had the gammon
Welcomed by the locals as if we were local
We will definitely recommend.
Thanks to the staff

Most welcoming new owners; beautiful spot and very accommodating for our last minute camping needs. Good hospitality, free crisps. Brilliant night!

It was quite busy the night we came in, but because we reserved a table we could walk right in (our name was on the table) and we got our orders taken quite quickly.
Our order was a bit complicated and perhaps large (some bits to share, that we wanted served with the main course of 5 people) so we had to wait a while for our food to get to us.
That didn't feel like a chore though, since the ambience was very comforting and due to several seating area's, there wasn't any distracting noise around us.
We did check out the garden which looked lovely, but quite full and loud (kids running around, etc.) which is why we stayed with our inside table.
Food was simply good and we liked our options (good price range in our opinion). Plenty of sauces on the table, so we didn't have to ask for anything.
All the employees were very nice and helpful. Very appreciated by us as Dutch tourists who needed a bit of advice on what drinks to order!
We had a little bit of a hard time paying with our European debit card, but the employees were very kind about it and quickly resolved the issue.
Another thing of note was that the toilets were proper clean.
All in all, this just felt exactly like what we wanted: cosy, comforting and a good home cooked meal.

This place has gone up a league, a lovely pub that i have lived close to for 24 years , it's always been a good pub but now it's the best it's ever been. Happy attentive service by some very professional staff. A great selection on the menu and well priced. The steaks were perfect, served blue and medium rare.
My only moan is ,the cider is not good , just needs more selection other than the one on offer.
Love it and will be going again. 👍👍

Beautiful pub with excellent views of the countryside as well as the canal that runs by the beer garden.
Food is very tasty, but the menu was somewhat limited during my visit, with a mumber of things sold out.
Nevertheless, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make conversation and help out.
Will definitely be coming again.

Excellent free house pub with solid and well prepared food. All the favourites but with a modern twist. Try the ice creams in a tea cup!

Stopped off for Sunday lunch. The food was good, and a generous serving although I did wonder what had happened to the cauliflower cheese. We used the pub's mooring for the boat on the canal but were a little curious why the access was not very inviting.

I think I frightened the staff when I entered saying, wow, in a very thespian manner and I don't think they quite knew how to deal with an eccentric Englishman. However, the staff recovered their composure and resumed with absolute professionalism to provide excellent service.
More importantly, I said, "Wow, and frankly, you will say wow. I love the place and also the chicken that followed me around whilst I fell in love with a great pub, great food, and a favourable wine cellar.
Truth, it's in the middle of bloody nowhere, just 3 miles outside of Devizes heading towards Horton or Coate. (If on the main look for the brown sign saying, Bridge Inn)
Should you decide to visit the Bridge Inn, you won't be disappointed. My only regret was being theatrical on my entrance but they will also remember me.

Really good vegan food, beautiful pub garden and friendly staff. Free roaming chickens in the garden, bordering the canal, dog friendly. Recommend for a quick drink, visiting with friends and family and a big night out.

Thank you to everybody at the Bridge Inn for making our visit perfect. The staff are all very welcoming and cannot do enough for you. I have to mention the food. Amazing I enjoyed the Prawns Pilpil to start and the sirloin steak as a main. The steak was the best I have had. Family joined us for there 40th wedding anniversary. Could not asked for more. Will definitely visit again and will recommend The Bridge Inn to my friends and fellow boaters.

Charming country pub with lots of character. We visited on a bank holiday Monday for a bite to eat, and were quickly shown to a table in the corner of the pub. The atmosphere is very much what you'd expect from an old country pub, warm and cosy without feeling like it's trying too hard. This is complimented perfectly by what can only be described as probably the best playlist I've heard in a pub (any pub that plays Meatloaf at noon is a winner in my books!!). All the staff were extremely attentive and polite, making sure our drink were always topped up if needed.
Our food came quickly and was to a high standard - everything you'd expect from a place like this.
Normally I would say that Two Out of Three Ain't Bad. But in this case it's definitely a three out of three; I would definitely recommend stopping at The Bridge Inn. I look forward to visiting again over the summer and trying out the beer garden.
