Ordered beer and appetizers. Loved the atmosphere and had great staff. I ordered a tall IPA according to the menu & price but only received a normal glass. Asked the waitress why and she said the brewery set the prices, but it doesn’t make sense why I still didn’t receive a 16oz beer when that’s what the menu said. Otherwise all of it was delicious. The food was awesome and there were lots of local brews, which I really appreciated. A nice amount of seating and TV’s to watch football on!

This spot has delicious, American, pub-style food and wonderful service. Everything is reasonably priced for the quality that you get. Could they use a little extra pizazz in the interior decorating department? Sure. It feels a little cold at times. But overall -- a consistently good experience from the staff and the kitchen.

The starters were superb! The craft beers on tap are only $2.50 on Tuesdays and the patio is perfect and completely shady in the afternoon! If you are looking for a new spot downtown- check out the Walnut!

Great simple spot for sandwhiches and burgers. The service is good, fast and attentive. Prices are reasonable and food is tasty. Fries are a great side option, and the mac and cheese was quite underwhelming. Overall - highly recommend.

Great location, very good menu (especially if you are Vegan), and amazing staff! Eat in and take out, quick, and the service really is top notch. If you are downtown, visiting the City, you should give this place a try.

Relaxed, cool city vibe! Focused menu made daily by owner-chef. The waitstaff, Sam, was great. Had the rueben and pasta salad today. Very good!

This is hands down my favorite bar/restaurant on the west side of downtown and possibly all of Des Moines. The food is fantastic, they have a small but well-curated craft beer selection, cocktails are on point, the staff is great, and the atmosphere can’t be beat.

Great place! Variety of quality upscale food and drink choices at a good price. Great story of the restaurant and historic building adds to the dining experience.
