Hooligans Denton Texas

One of my favorite bars in Denton, their drinks are really cheap, they offer a wide selection of drinks, they always have some sort of theme for the holidays and I've been lucky to go during winter and Halloween and had some of their seasonal drinks, their food is okay but it's the bar life that I love and had some good times there.

Tonight my husband and I decided to try this place and it was by far the worst mistake! I ordered fish & chips with onion rings and my husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger with seasoned fries that were not seasoned! My fish was absolutely disgusting! The oil they used to fry it in was bad and the tarter sauce was gross. Not to mention we had piss poor service from the waitress. She was on her phone the entire time hiding by the kitchen area. Once she brought our food out she disappeared to visit with her friends that came to sit by the bar. Finally asked us if we were ready for the check and brought it to us. My husband pulled out his card to pay and we waited and waited for her to come by and pick it up. She stayed hanging out with her friends and flirting while us the paying customers sit there and wait as if we are on her time! I can't believe the poor service and terrible food we experienced tonight. This is the worst place I've ate at in Texas! We will not be back and as far as I'm concerned Hooligans needs John from Bar Rescue to pay a visit!

Came in on a Saturday afternoon looking for a small, late lunch and we almost had the whole place to ourselves! As a result our waitress was very attentive and the wings we had were hot and delicious! I can't speak for how this place is as a bar during peak hours, but for what we came for it was pretty good!
