Mexicali Restaurant

Mother in law suggested this place when we came to visit her. Portions were huge!!!! And I mean huge! We had at least two meals that we couldn’t finish so we took home. The fresh made churros with cajeta, to die for lol. The waiter was amazing, attentive, informative and respectful. This place is well hidden unless you stumble upon it, you’ll find. They are I believe next door to a biker bar(or some type of bar). While it may have not been too busy, it was a great little quaint place to visit, sit and have a small dinner. Also, for drinks, horchata mangorita and piña colada with a shot of patron. All drinks were tasty and good! Do recommend this establishment if you want a quaint and quiet place to enjoy dinner with a margarita.

This is just my totally awesome all time favorite mexican restaurant to go to! My family and I have been going here for years! The food, drinks, hot sauce, chips, atmosphere, prices, you name it, it is all just super awesome! And, the owners and staff are awesome too! I have always had nothing but a great experience at Mexicali's and I am most positive you will to!

Very good customer service and food is served pretty quickly. We were served chips and salsa as soon as we sat down. We had the lunch special Beef Fajita which is sizzling and smells amazing, it comes with refried beans and tortillas - side of pico, guacamole and sour creme. It's fair. Gave them 4 stars for the customer service. I may return.

The food is okay, everything tasted well but I should have chosen something else. I ordered from the lunch menu and it just wasn't enough for me, but based on the price I should have ordered from the regular menu. I do like that they serve aqua frescas. I've been here several times and will continue to come back.
