The walnut shrimp was way too sweet. Yes, it is a sweet mayo dish, I get it at many different places but this had actual mouthful of rock sugar that coated the shrimp. It was also basically mayo sweet soup. A horrible ambit of sauce that tasted disgusting. I thought maybe it was off the candied walnuts but I kept getting this grainy texture and it just tasted like a mouthful of sugar. Soup dumplings were fine.

Northern Chinese food, served quickly. They have a pretty large selection of dishes to choose from. You won't go wrong with buns, dumplings, and any of their vegetable choices. The veggie buns are very flavourful. Try odd dishes like egg whites with meat, very yummy. The interior is a bit dated and very very red. But you are likely not here for the ambiance.

Delicious and authentic Shanghainese restaurant! Will definitely come back for more. I always order their Xiao Long Bao!
They also sell frozen dumpling!
And I was last there during the Dragonboat Festival. They have the glutinous rice dumpling for the festival too!

The best Shanghai style food on the west coast. Yellow croaker with pine nuts, sautéed eel in brown sauce and braised pork kidney - all outstanding.

Some dishes were good - I liked the grilled eel which was delicious and not very easy to find in Chinese restaurants. But the service was impatient and could be better.

We came to celebrate Chinese New Year, but ended up with a terrible dining experience. The table was not properly cleaned. We waited over an HOUR AND A HALF for 2 dishes and they would not let us cancel our order. Furthermore, the surrounding customers had all their dishes delivered, but us. Our fish dish, which we waited an hour and a half for, was undercooked. By the time we told the servers that we had been waiting for our food 3 times, and our food arrived, we were all full from drinking tea and eating rice.
