I booked an event today (wake) and received excellent service throughout. We had the whole of the back room to ourselves, and for as long as we wanted, no time limit. The food was excellent withva wide variety of hot and cold food, a truly wonderful spread that exceeded expectations. Caz and her team were fantastic throughout and if I ever need to stage another event again, I will definitely come here again.

Butter paneer...one of the best meals I've had in 3 months in England! Great menu...western and Indian, huge TV with plenty of seating to watch sport, quick service, really nice atmosphere. Excellent all around

One of the worst experiences I've had at the downsman in the last 10 years food wasn't as good as normal, the guy working was excellent but the 2 ladies working didn't seem to want to be there 9nr was rude and going for a cigarette break every 5 mins

We have visited today for the king’s coronation, where the lovely land lady has served her usual incredible menu along with a BBQ in the garden and a !!free!! afternoon cream tea! She’s also put up a bouncy castle, hook a duck and candy floss for the kids free of charge. Everyone’s had a lovely time and it really feels so homely here. 10/10 recommend.
