Nice place. Food is great and delicious! I come here every now and again, but all the time, the tables and seats are filthy! Crumbs, liquids, you name it. Then, when I get up to brush the crumbs off my seat, I hit my head on the jukebox behind me. The food here is great, but the filth is horrible. Service is always a shot-in-the-dark too. I do love the 1950s atmosphere though!

Food was delicious! Waitress was awesome! Place was a little dingy looking and the jukebox buttons could use a serious cleaning. But I enjoyed the food and my shake and had a great time nonetheless.

Wow, has this place gone downhill! First of all, they added a freaking arcade... It's a 60s diner! What are you thinking?!?
Then they removed their best selling shake (Apple pie), their sweet potato fries, and jacked up the price of the burgers! It was $77 for 6 people to have burgers and shakes and split fries, i mean, come on! If you're going to charge $8 for a burger, at least start including the damn fries with it.
Our waiter was great, felt bad for him because you can tell the place is tanking and bringing everyone down with it.
And if you are going to play the Beatles nonstop and have your mini jukeboxes disconnected, have the decency to tell people or post a sign, because my children wasted money on song choices and sat eagerly anticipating their songs... Which never came on. Thanks for that. And it's certainly not because other people were there... We were there ONLY people there.
My family and I will not be back.

Place was not busy at all at lunch time. I know why. They are a little too proud of their food. $9 for a fast food burger ..... with no fries!! Do they think this is a gourmet restaurant or are they gouging me? Bill was $16.xx for a burger, fries and coke. A lot to pay for a smiley face of ketchup in a bowl.

Food was very good. Service was very good. Only complaint is shakes came out. 10 minutes later fries and onion rings came out and then it took 15 more minutes to get our burgers. And no, it was not busy and yes I know the time because I was in line with the clock.

This place is good..... But your burger doesn't come with fries. ... Your burger should always come with fries and so should your chicken nuggets. . A little to expensive for not getting french fries with your .. what should be a "meal" .. but they have fabulous shakes and I love that you get a large shake and they give you a side Shaker that has more shake in it.. makes up for the calories missing from your missing fries I suppose

The manager refused to accept a valid coupon, specifically for this location (Cranston), because it was presented on the Entertainment coupon book app rather than on the paper version of the coupon. The restaurants sign up for these coupons, and I paid for the book, so it was frustrating. According to the manager this had happened before, and yet nothing is being done about it. He was unwilling to discount any of the bill. He did call the owner to confirm, and so it was probably out of his control. The owner should realize that honoring a coupon worth $7 would have saved his this negative review. We won't be coming back.
Aside from that, the food was decent, if greasy. The server was pleasant. The tables were dirty, and the coffee cups has lipstick (not clean).

Haven't been to JR in a long time because I remembered it as being mediocre Boy they have stepped it up. The service was exceptional. The tator tots were crisp with lots of real bacon. Chocolate peanut butter milkshake was a perfect mix and excellent. Chicken sandwich was juicy with fresh crisp veggies. Already anticipating my next visit.
