First time using Frydays for me and my daughter, absolutely lovely food, really reasonably priced and the serving ladies and cook were really friendly, would highly recommend and definitely will return 😊 Anita and Maddie x

Beautiful fish, delicious chips. Service was friendly. Can only recommend a visit, it is 30 years since I visited Cottingham and now I regret it as I could have had this food earlier. Only accept cash but there is an ATM close by.

I will start by saying that I'm very particular about fish and chips and I've been known walk out of a chippy after just one step inside.
I am a resident of Cottingham and have always seen Frydays as a three out of five BUT something has changed recently and it's not me, yesterday my nose dragged my inside and made me buy chips, they were top notch so this evening I went back and bought fish and chips to make sure it wasn't a fluke, it wasn't.
The food I am now sated with was delicious and easily merits five stars

This is by far the best fish and chips I've ever tasted. They are cooked to order and it really shows in the taste, no soggy batter and cooked just how you like it. The food is not greasy as you would expect and everything on the menu is lovely. The owners and staff are all very friendly and polite. I would highly recommend this fish and chip shop.

Lovely food all cooked fresh to order. There are a few tables to sit at or take out and sit in the gardens just along the road. Clean environment and lovely friendly service.

Absolutely first class fish and chips, perfect batter and the fish is so sweet and meaty.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Also do gluten free to order which is just as tasty.
