The Ferry

Had lunch here yesterday (Tuesday) and was served by Holly. The food was lovely. I'm vegetarian and the lunch menu offered good options and good value. Holly was lovely, friendly and attentive. My sister has a disability and everything was made very easy for her to use her walking frame. However, as is becoming more common in restaurants, the accessible toilet was locked and requires you to ask at the bar for the key. Please understand this is embarrassing and undignified for a disabled person.

Lovely pub by the Thames. Great food, I had the Sweet Potato Massaman Curry it was a little spicy but delicious followed by the trio of cheesecakes which was lovely 3 different flavour cheesecake balls. Would definitely recommend. We were served by Stacey and Charlotte and the service was excellent. Good menu with lots of choice. Sign up to the newsletter and you can get a free starter or dessert on your first visit. Just by the bridge at Cookham with a good sized car park. Will definitely return.

First time back for many years & I was very impressed. Excellent location & views next to Cookham Bridge. My steak was perfect & delicious parfait. I was too hungry so forgot my usual food photos. Congrats to Ajay & the team for a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Lovely stop during hikes along the Thames.

I’ve been here twice now within the last week. Both times the staff have been excellent, helpful, attentive and professional. The food has been hot, tasty and delivered promptly even when the kitchen was very busy due to the number of people there to watch the Swan Upping. The riverside view is just beautiful and even when it’s raining, as it was on my first visit, the terrace overlooking the river is a great place to sit underneath the huge umbrellas. Overall a great pub with a fantastic location, a good menu and helpful staff.

Have been here several times and the food (and our lovely deserts - pavlova and the best panacotta of my life) has always been FANTASTIC! servers were also lovely and gave us great tips on the area and local walks (thank you Yuli!!) Although the garden always gets booked up the bar is (in my opinion) far nicer and not weather dependant, while still giving a great view of the river - dog friendly too! We drive down from London to come here and it’s worth it every time

Nice location for a country walk along the river. Food tasty. Service friendly but busy so sometimes had to prompt or ask for things. Overall enjoyable. Rest rooms could do with a deep clean and maintenance as some locks not functioning! May 22 Returned again for tasty food.We sat outside overlooking the Thames which was lovely. I had roast beef yummy. Service friendly and fast May 23 returned again. Fab food and service thank you Holly and Caitlin 😁
