Visited today for Sunday lunch as a treat. The pub was very very busy, however, James was amazing on the bar and the team.
Never realised how much attitude bar staff take in one shift from customers. Well done for the professional manner all complaints were dealt with today.
Some people complain for the no reason.
Food was amazing as always.

Nice pub, great staff, lovely food (if a bit pricy)
We stayed in our motorhome at the back of the pub, which was OK, but again, for a pub stopover, it was a bit expensive.

Our family of 4 adults visited last night (Saturday). The pub looks great on the outside and inside, food was delicious and well presented, the service was attentive, food came out in good time and offers of more drinks, atmosphere perfect with quiet music coming from the bar area, everywhere clean, and decor is lovely, plenty parking.
All good !

Tried the ribeye steak…nicely cooked and was very tasty. Bonus points for the crispy chips, the best I’ve had in Congleton.
Service was friendly and we ordered straight away but the bottle of wine took more than it should have done to arrive as it wasn’t even busy.

Nice pub with good pub food and craft ales. Separate veggie menu available (not advertised on website), though we went with the halloumi tacos off the main menu which were very tasty.
