Applebee's

The kitchen staff needs to get it together waited almost an hour to get our food and when we got it it was only my husband's order, the waitress forgot to put in our appetizer and we waited another 20 for my food which at that point I said just bag it to go, the manager did come and apologize and paid our bill. The couple in back of us with 3 lil ones also was flagging the waitress to cancel their food as they waited just as long.

The food was great; BUT when seated asked manager if Sr discount. Had to check. Asked waitress when took order; said would check. When brought bill no discount. Asked why. She said he was going to take off. When back and manager took off 10 percent. Food was good BUT HIGH in calories. Service good. Don't think I will come back. Watch out for two for one menu. you get two burgers for 22 dollar and EITHER 1 salad or anything else. Not a salad and strips for same price. If you order two side orders you pay.

Waited for food for almost 2 hours. We happened to notice that the folks that were seated after us, had eaten and were leaving. We asked to speak to the manager. She explained to us that they were under staffed, as our food arrived. But the staff was very accommodating, and pleasant, and our meals were comped.

Went in for the steak and shrimp special. $1 for 12 crunch shrimp with any steak entree. The sirloin was cooked properly and had very good flavor. The shrimp were great. This is a very good deal, if you like both steak and shrimp. The place was clean and pretty empty when we got there at 4:30. It was starting to get busier when we left. They discontinued their happy hour specials, though, so it was 'almost' a perfect meal.

My family of 6 entered the Applebee's on hwy 29 in Concord and waited 1.5 hours for service while "others" were serviced as they walked in. The management said they were behind but there were several families serviced while we sat and waited. Each time I asked why we weren't being serviced they stated they were behind yet everyone before us was sitting, getting their drink orders and enjoying. This is the worst display customer service I've ever had.

My food was good, but the process to get it was less than ideal. We ordered online to go and we picked our specific time they ask for. When I got there at my time slot, no one came out to greet me or ask for my order confirmation. There wasn’t a phone number to call on the “to-go” sign, so I googled the number and they never answered the phone. I had been waiting 15min at that point so I just walked in. The staff couldn’t find my order so it took an addition 20 min to get my food. The staff were nice and very busy so my complaint isn’t necessarily about them. I think the to-go system could be better. Next time we will probably just eat in the restaurant.
