Borderland Cafe

If you're passing through, this is a must for a stop! The food is excellent and the staff is so nice and amazing! Especially the lady who took my order - she's so sweet! I've driven by this spot so many times during the period I was exploring the Tres Hermanas Mountains, and I regret not stopping here sooner!! Highly recommend!

If you drive by Borderland Cafe, do yourself a favor and stop! It's a gem of a restaurant in the middle of the New Mexican desert. I ordered myself a Pancho Burger made with a Beyond Patty and Green Chili and was not disappointed... so good. Major points for having vegetarian options, I was not expecting that! Service was fast and very friendly.

We first discovered Borderland Cafe in 2018 when we were staying at the nearby Pancho Villa State Park, and we’ve been huge fans ever since. Honestly, this is the type of quality food and service that you would expect to find in some place like Santa Fe or Albuquerque. The enchilada fries and the cucumber limeade are a must for us. Yesterday we had their grilled chicken gyros, and they were excellent—the veggies were fresh and crisp, and the taziki sauce was some of the best I’ve ever had. Don’t let the small size and remote location fool you. This is seriously good food at a fair price, offered by a hard-working young couple who are hustling their butts off to serve the great folks in southern New Mexico. Check them out!!
