Blast & Brew

A decent "pour your own" concept in theory but you can't purge the draft line before pouring yourself a pint. They allegedly bleed the lines before opening which is a nice gesture, but if no one is drinking a certain beer for say the first few hours and you go to pour that one, the first few ounces pour as foam since the beer sitting in the line warms up and the co2 comes out of solution. The bartender was kind enough to finish typing up the pint each time but that just reveals how flawed the concept is.

Awesome place! I love the "pay by a tenth of an ounce" concept. Tons of beers to choose from. Menu was limited and mainly focused on pizza, but it was pretty darn good pizza. They do have other options like burgers and salads...but the pizzas seeme$ to dominate. My one beef with this place. You can see the chefs making the food, none of them, and I mean not one had gloves on. I'm sure they washed their hands, and I know everything gets killed when baking a pizza for example, but not a hand tossed salad. Again, I'm sure they washed, it just weirds me out. This is one of my favorite places in the area though...check it out!

This place discriminated against my husband. He was seated at the bar by the hostess with a menu, and the waitress who was chola looking (Latina) came up to him and told him to leave. That he was not seated there. When he explained to her that he was she said “no your weren’t”. Needless to say, he left.
