Uptown Restaurant

Had a mini lunch meet today at Uptown Restaurant & Boutique. It's a one woman show and she does it all! If you like your food made to order, piping hot, where you'll have to play hot potato for a few minutes, that's exactly what you'll get. The place is small with about 4 tables, a little warm inside, but hey, at least it'll keep your food warm. I think most folks do carryout versus dining in anyway. I got the 3 piece pan trout, she made sure I knew how big the fish was, but my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Holy moly, this thing needed 2 large trays to fit it! Fried hard, great seasoning on the batter. Look at that fry and color! You can order it in 1, 2, or 3 piece, it was ONLY $10 for a 3 piece, 2 sides, bread and drink, so I went for it. So glad that I did! They have everyday specials, so be sure to ask what it is. Today was a cheeseburger, 4 wings, fries and a drink special for $10. Sub the cheeseburger for chicken on a stick if you like, that's like two entrees in one. Her menu is small, but the prices are amazing. She just wants to feed you! She does Southern Country lunch plates on Sunday's, yes she is open on Sunday's y'all, until 4pm! I included her menu and the pan trout, so yall can see how massive this plate was.

This place has the BEST FOOD..! I tried the catfish (big slices), potato salad, fried okra, fried tomatoes, French fries, baked beans not to mention my grandbaby enjoyed her cheese burger & fries, made with REAL MEAT. The BEST that I have had in a long time. I would drive now once a week for my outing here. Love the refill lemonade. The customer service is number one also! I FOUND ME A NEW PLACE.

Ms. Marlene was very nice, patient and hospitable. It's a small place with a big heart. The food is fresh and it's not greasy; but full of the soulful flavor everyone anticipates. If you happen to go on a Sunday and get a Super Soul Sunday meal, you can definitely eat from it more than once. I ordered the Turkey wings over rice with 2 sides: mac & cheese and cabbage. It also came with cornbread, a slice of cake and good lemonade that wasn't too sweet. All of $8!! I'm no good💁‍♀️... Kudos to this hidden jewel👍👍. She said to check her put on Facebook because she normally posts the weekly menus on Saturdays.
