Parkside Cafe

My 1st time there. Service was fast, staff was very courteous. Our waitress was "Spectacular". I'm not good with remembering names but, let me describe her. She is bald and Beautiful. It was her Birthday 9/18, she was attentive to our needs. It was busy there were 3 of us. I cant sing her praises enough. The Cafe was busy and I only noticed 3. Black Women working alone. They were working I tell you and everyone eating there was Happy when they left making satisfied remark and promising to return. I know I will and bring others

Would have been 5 stars but I ordered pancakes sausage and coffee and the sausage was burnt. The waitress checked on me once and asked if I wanted fresh sausage. As a waitress for over 20 years I never would have let that sausage be served to the customer. I didn't get the sausage and didn't eat the burnt. Never even offered to take it off my bill.

The lady waiting tables 1/17/21 was alone serving the entire restaurant. She was such a sweetie. Very pleasant, service great. Kept coming back for refills. We had a party of 9. She was amazing. All orders spot on. She deserves a raise. The restaurant was full. Yet she gave us the full service. Pleasantly chatted and joked. Loved her.

So yummy! Better than Sugar n’ Spice in my opinion. We expected mediocre diner food but definitely felt this was above that! The biscuits and gravy were solid. The waffles and pancakes were so sweet and full of flavor. And the omelet was HUGE. Even the diner coffee was good! The atmosphere is not fancy but the service was friendly and prompt, and the eating area was clean. The area it’s in may not attract a large crowd, but we walked there and it was great. Will definitely go back.

They are one of those restaurants that serve breakfast all day long. Food was good, but I found their breakfast special a bit too greasy. However, there's a lot of other options like salads and burgers in the menu to choose from. Service was prompt and it's spacious inside with a gentle crowd. Quantity was sufficient and I would say it was a good value for the buck.
