Fifties Diner

Was driving back from Connecticut to New York with a group of friends when we stopped in to get diner a couple nights ago. We were seated in a corner with the tables just washed. The service came at good time with our orders in fast. But the food came out very late and even the appetizer we ordered (chicken tenders) came out after the 2nd person received their dinner. Instead all everyone receiving their food at the same time there were 10-15 minute periods before another person would receive their food. And one of my friend’s meals was “disappeared off the system”. He was given the free meal however. When the food came i asked for butter with my pancakes. They did not give me the butter. Overall the pancakes did not taste good. They tasted stale and overall undercooked. And my friends who got the scrambled eggs said they also tasted like paper and smelled off. The chicken tenders as our appetizer tasted very greasy. The sausage however was fine. This isn’t even the worst part. On our was back to New York on I-90. My stomach felt off and really needed to go. After pulling into a Wendy’s it all came out. One of the worst bathroom experiences in my life. Me and my friends will not be visiting this establishment ever again.

New owners have recently taken over. The food is basically the same. Burgers are good, fries are fresh and plentiful. The house made ice cream is pretty good as well. Service took a huge nose dive. The young man at the counter was completely rude and unconcerned with helping anyone. He was asked by another employee to help scoop ice cream for customers, he got pretty angry that he had to do it. Mumbled under his breath and had a nasty scowl the whole time.
