Dairy Queen

I really don't like to leave bad reviews but this is the worst Dairy Queen (or any other restaurant) I've ever been to. I have been to this Chetek location several times and every time i leave saying i will never go back. The food is really pricy and takes forever to get. When you do get your meal it's always disappointing. Seems like the owner is not interested in customer service at all. Really, if you want great ice cream at a decent price go to the North Lakes drive in or to the new ice cream shop in town.

I understand many restaurants are understaffed, and there was a sign up that they were training new staff today, but I waited for 50 minutes in the drive through. I always expect for a little bit of a wait when coming to this location, but I have never once experienced a wait like this. Not here or any other “fast” food establishment. The man in the car in front of me waited for over 10 minutes at the menu for someone to take his order. When I came up to the window, it seemed like some of the young employees were talking to one another about non-work related things and just generally messing around. The food was fine, as expected, except they gave me the banana split without a lid on it. Maybe I should have asked but at that point I was exhausted and wanted to get out of the drive through. I understand having a little bit of a wait, but I will probably never come to this location ever again. I have never once spent almost an hour of my life in a drive through. If I had the ability to leave, I would have but at that point I was already boxed in. I’m disappointed. Please work on the efficiency of this location and better training the employees.

I had a cake made for a Bridal shower and it was very specific (bride to be does not like chocolate of any kind) The manager worked with me on what we wanted to the cake to look like and the flavors and it was perfect. It was really nice to see that the bride loved the cake. Thank you Sammy for working with us and for making the cake from scratch. (we seriously dislike the premade cakes!)

We ordered two chicken strip dinners and received them almost immediately, but soon realized that the dinners had been sitting under the warm for quite some time. The chicken was warm (not hot like it is when freshly made) very very dry and could barely bite through the breading. The fries were warm and limp, and the toast was soggy. When this was brought up to an employee, her response was “ I don’t know, I’m not the cook” and walked away. Had plans to have a ice cream treat following but didn’t want to spend anymore money at a place like this
