Park Road Soda Shoppe

This was my first visit. It was very crowded for lunch, I was alone so it was a short wait to sit at the counter. There were two couples there before me, but has to wait for a table. The food was really good. I had the chili dog and a side of tater tots. Both were really good, especially the tots. The chili on the hot dog was pretty basic, but it gave a very classic chili dog flavor and texture. The service was excellent and very personable. It's the kind of place that has regulars where the customers and staff get to know each other by name. Overall, I'm sure to return to try more of the menu.

Small quaint little diner. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The chili slaw dogs were very good. The fries and the onion rings were hot but looked like they were cooked in old frying oil. Very dark. They had peach ice cream which was very good but the cone was a little on the stale side. Overall a nice find and probably will be back.

Typical, old-fashioned soda shoppe with simple food (burgers, grilled cheese, fries, ice cream sundaes etc) but definitely not for folks on a low calorie or low fat diet. Staff were very friendly though the two waitresses were having to spend a lot of time ringing up takeout orders while also covering their tables. My only complaint was the use of styrofoam cups, styrofoam plates, and plastic utensils for dine-in customers. I would have really liked an actual plate and fork, both for comfort and because I hate the wastefulness of single-use plastics.
