Deep Sea Seafood Market

The owner went way "above and beyond" to deliver the best lobsters I have ever had and being from New England I've had a lot! My daughter was flying from NH into Charlotte, NC on her way to "surprise" me for Father's Day in SC. The owner arranged to meet her at the store before business hours and unlocked the doors just to give her the 6 gorgeous lobsters. They obviously have a great passion for awesome seafood and service. I will definitely make the 2 hour drive to eat there!!

We went for a late lunch about 2 weeks ago. The blackened grouper was killer, my wife says the fish and chips were fantastic and we took home a quart of the best NE clam chowder we’ve ever had. I picked up crab cakes last night for dinner and they were loaded with crab. A great crab cake dinner for a lot less than you’d pay at any other restaurant. If you like fresh fish this place is a must try.

We took a chance on a small local place and we couldn't be more thrilled! Our meal was fantastic! We started with New England clam chowder, creamy and hearty. Not overpowering but just the right silkiness. For mains, I had the white bean, shrimp and sausage stew-- so tasty! It stayed hot the whole time too, which is a big deal for me (soups and stews are never really hot in most places). The sausage was in nice hunks, the shrimp were plentiful, the beans were soft but not mushy and the undisclosed gems were the onions that gave just the right bite. Great portion, very filling. My son had the shrimp po boy-- overflowing with nice sized shrimp mixed in a great remoulade sauce. My daughter had shrimp tacos--with mango corn salsa. All very fresh. Her side of fries were BOMB too--crunchy and hot, lightly seasoned. My husband had the crabcake with smashed potatoes and sauteed string beans. Perfect portions to compliment both taste and appetite! Prices were more than reasonable, considering the good quality and portions. Service was good. Our server was attentive and polite. He kept checking with us, topping off drinks, making sure we were good. We would not hesitate to go back. Really a great dinner. *for those that care about this (we didn't), there are only soft drinks available.

You have to try this place!!! It's tucked into a small storefront off Monroe Rd but you won't regret finding it. Anthony is awesome, knowledgeable, and food was just scrumptious!!! I got the tuna tacos, my Mrs went for blackened salmon, and both were flavorful and spiced just right. Perfect portions too. I kept the menu at the table after ordering to get a head start for the next visit. No chain recipes here. Check the online menu out. The limit of 6 per party due to size of the place, so it's a cozy early dinner date night or small group kind of place. We will be back soon.

This food is INCREDIBLE. I just ate the manh bi sandwich and it is AMAZING. I don't ever write online reviews of anything but this sandwich was SO incredible, I was moved to write a 5 star review. Also, while you pick up lunch, you can get some raw fish to take home and cook for dinner. Also great to encourage small business in the area. Love Deep Sea! Keep up the great work.

I don't understand all of the negative reviews on this place. I ordered the fish and chips with a cup of clam chowder and both were delicious. The portions are just perfect with tons of flavor. The gentleman who served our food was very pleasant and came back multiple times to see if we needed refills on our drinks. We will certainly be back.
