Southbound

Great casual Southern fusion food. Everything we ordered was very good except the pickled radish or whatever it was had a flavor that was out of place. We sat outside on the sidewalk since we had a little dog with us and there was a lot of screeching noise whenever the cargo train went by. Aside from that, we had a great experience and will definitely come back.

The ambience is very nice and true to a southern theme. The bathrooms even have a fireplace, which is very thoughtful. The customer service is excellent. The hot chicken is 5/5, but everything else was lackluster. Don't get the ramen. Don't get the pulled pork. Don't get the fried eggplant. Definitely get the hot chick and also consider the chicken wings with a side of cornbread.

The place has a great atmosphere it's warm neat and pleasant.The food is really tasty with that touch of southern flavor , smoky and tasty. The service is amazing specially from Roxane she's is more than a waitress she's beautiful and very kind thanks for your excellent customer service. That place has a cool patio and many parking spots only for Southbound's diners .

My now husband and I had our wedding reception here. They had a projector and speaker hookups on site that we used and it worked out perfect. We chose heavy Hors d'Oeuvres options and it was a great decision. Some of our guests had allergies to dairy and gluten, and we set up a station just for them. Our guests are still giving the food praise! The bar package was perfect for our needs. The Owner and the staff were AMAZING! Our guests are also still gushing over the service. They accommodated us at every turn, I can not praise or recommend them enough to anyone looking for a reception option or get together with a number of 100 or less! The entire venue area is gorgeous on its own. You wont need to over decorate at all.

Beautiful building & we had an excellent dinner...we tried the deviled eggs, which had crispy bacon on them. Then my hubby had chicken wings & Mac n cheese. The wings were smoky & spicy. The Mac n cheese is great. My son had the brisket, perfectly smoked & slow roasted...he ate it all! The only feedback I'd give is to add a dipping sauce for the fried brussels. Overall really great food & service.

Atmosphere is great, food not so much. Nothing we ordered was good, never mind great. For the menu prices expected much better food. And the portion sizes (not the small plates) is really poor. $20 for slice of liquid smoke flavored brisket some fries and small cup of slaw Is crazy. Also menu is not child friendly.
