Lovely welcome from the staff who were really attentive, polite, but professional. Both had sirloin steaks, chips, onion rings, tomatoes, mushrooms, and I had peppercorn sauce. Steak cooked medium and was perfect. I had churro sundae, and he had apple pie and ice cream. A pint and a refillable diet coke (yep after those chips and puds) and came in at £62. Booked at 9.54 for 2nd visit at 15.30. Received a call an hour later telling me "We're not doing food today." No explanation, apology, suggestion of an alternative day. Just silence. So I suggested "I'd better cancel my booking then" and they hung up and seconds later I got an email confirmation of the cancellation. Someone needs some training. I understand there was no local alternative but at least say sorry.

I didn't eat here yet but was here August Sunday and it was very quiet! But that's ok with me, everywhere else is rammed. Lovely garden but has a few wasps that was irritating. Only had Premium Lager so quite expensive, should have a non premium option. I live 20min drive so would return in peak season to avoid people everywhere else.

Visited on Sunday 9th July, although they were running out of several items on the menu, they were quick to inform us and luckily they had what we required, we were seated quickly and waited 20mins which was good considering we hadn't booked. Our meals were lovely and served with a smile, so overall a lovely meal, well done!!
