Basilico

Very enjoyable experience. Despite the large open space, the restaurant was warm and inviting. The portion sizes were large whilst maintaining the quality. I had the Osso Buco and it was beautifully soft and falling apart and the sauce was so flavoursome. Everyone enjoyed their food, seafood marinara, risotto was amazing, we were all happy. Highly recommend.

We ordered a starter, a pizza and a pasta and waited 35 minutes. Starter was stone cold in the centre and when I brought it up with the waiter his response was “so you want another one or….?”. Floor staff were disorganised, and food was lack lustre at best. Pizza was very basic and the base seemed store bought. All in all for the prices they are charging and the experience you receive, I would not recommend Basilico…

Very disappointing experience I have’d with my recent order. I ordered 3 pizzas medium size. Basilico specials, Supreme and vegetarian for $64 total quite expensive. When I rang to order, the girl over reception had captured wrong order as maxicana instead of vegetarian.I had to correct her again. I was told to wait for 30 mins. Still for 1 hour no delivery came. I called restaurant twice to confirm and I got to know that they sent my order to wrong address as receptionist girl captured our address for wrong street number as 47 instead of 41. When I notified this error to the restaurant lady, she hung up the phone on me. After my mom called and someone called cook answered and talked rudely to my mom asking to call other day. Meanwhile the driver finally came and told us that he was called by restaurant and was asked to come to 41 number. The pizzas were so cold and not eatable as they were soggy by the time. We had to return the pizzas and didn’t get from driver. The receipt driver showed to us had wrong street address . Our dinner with family was nicely ruined by this. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Here for Saturday dinner, lady at the counter showed us in without telling they were under staffed that night until around 10-15 mins after we sat down. Staff kept bringing food out for other tables, and chatting to other customers, but no one was bothered to come to us and take orders. My partner finally decided to leave, when she stood up and about to leave, finally one of the staff came and asked us what do we want, considering other restaurants are very busy as well, so we decided to stay. Ordered 3 simple dishes, a salad, grilled seafood and pasta, 35 mins in, still no food, but tables that came in after us have food keep coming out to their table, I asked the staff have the chef started prepping the food, she just said she talked to the chef and food is coming, but didn’t bother to check if the chef actually started cooking our food. 10 mins later, still no food, it was 8:05pm, I politely said to the waitress, if there’s no food on the table in the next 5 mins, then we have to leave because we waited for Way too long, then food came exactly after 5 mins, I was wondering if I don’t make the complain, when the chef will actually starts to cook our food. When I was paying the bill at the counter, and I tried to give some feedback to the waitress at the counter, by saying, next time when you are short staffed, you should let customers know at the door so they have the choice of staying or leaving, but she was being defensive saying:” I think I’ve told you, right?” Yes you have told me, 15 mins after we sat down, then she replied back saying “I’ll take your feedback on board, at least you were informed.” The attitude was unbelievable. Usually for this kind of experience I would give 1 star no questions asked, but I want to be fair and rate the restaurant with my overall experience, I have to say food here is actually pretty decent, spaghetti marinara was on point, Ceprese salad was refreshing, grilled seafood was ok but little bit overpriced for its portion, so 2 out of 5 I think it’s fair rating for this kind of experience.

Went to this place once Victoria has lifted the lockdown restrictions. Ordered the Marinara pasta for $27.90 which I would consider a premium price, almost fine dinning price range. Overall its not bad but I was expecting more for that price. I can say the seafood included is kinda fresh and thw portion is definitely satisfying and sufficient. Its actually a lot cheaper if you order take away, for the same pasta, its only$16.90. Not sure if it's due to the portion. But I would think it's a bargain if you do take away. This would be a nice place for a date, not so much for casual dinner as I think it's a bit overpriced.

Food is great, chef is amazing! I wanted to customize my order a bit and he gladly did so for me. Was delicious! My partner ordered vegetarian risotto and the chef made it extra special just for him, best risotto ive ever eaten. Waitresses are nice and attentive. Only negative is the boss and her attitude
