Backyard Cafe

Lots to see and explore. Great exhibitions that make you think and ponder. So much to absorb and learn. Plenty of parking. Small Kid friendly areas. Easy to navigate but also easy to get immersed in the space. Cafe available, easily spend a whole day here.

This is an amazing place for everyone. It is huge with so much to see and experience. To experience it to its full potential set aside a day. So very happy to have gone there and would highly recommend to everyone. There is cafe inside, along with a shop. Parking is available.

A wonderful experience. Staff are extremely helpful. The venue is easy to navigate with surprises around each corner. Recommended for young and old. Great location for kids to learn about Australian history. A must next time you are in Canberra.

An amazing museum so rich in history, would recommend spending a few hours if visiting Canberra. It's free entry with plenty of parking. The exhibits are awesome with something to interest everyone.

Loved the Aboriginal section. Very educational and interactive. Took about 1.5hrs to go through it all. Didn't go into the Greek history section or cyber intelligence due to personal time restrictions. There wasn't really much more than that to see. Free entry into general museum was a bonus

Beautiful place :) There is also a nice Cafe there which has lovely food. You can rest there and enjoy a meal or drink coffee and cakes. I found the cakes quite artistic as well. I also loved the souvenir shop, lots of beautiful stuff! :)

Great venue. Friendly staff. Fantastic spot for a coffee, with wonderful relaxing seating and views right over the lake. Songlines exhibition of Aboriginal art is superb and well worth a look at, in an immersive format that really brings the wonderful works to life.

Entrance free. Good museum for kids. Wide parking area but always full even in weekdays. Parking $3,6/hr and multiple for next hours. Disable and baby parking are provided.
