The food is decent. It’s pretty basic. I got the pepper jack burger (without the pepper jack, roasted red pepper relish & the red onion :/ ). The burger tasted a little burnt (but I guess you could ask for it lightly done). The telly big issue was the waitress. She was extremely grumpy and we only saw her after we ordered our drinks & food (we ordered immediately) and when we had finished. It is very annoying when your supper gets ruined by the person that’s supposed to be taking are of you.

Nice old style nostalgic pub - cosy and inviting. Friendly staff, good priced meals and happy hour specials. Portions are good sized so is the quality.

Food was good and we enjoyed sitting on the rooftop patio. We had a nice, friendly waitress. Just a warning to Mom's with stollers - they are deemed a fire hazard so you have to leave it at the front entrance.

A nice little pub with a good amount of beers on tap. The prices were on par with pub fare, the food was nothing special and kinda bland, the guacamole was the worst I’ve ever had and tasted like taco mix more than anything. The atmosphere and patios are what make this place worth it.

Food was really good! Had a really good time and well accommodated for a large birthday party; they allowed us to bring in a cake and we had the upstairs floor all by ourselves. Server wasn’t too engaging and seemed a bit cold at times.

The Bow River Barley Mill is centrally located in one of the more attractive spots in downtown Calgary, namely the Eau Claire Park area. Steps away from a number of office buildings, business oriented luxury hotels and brand new condos, it is ideal for an after work drink or a quick lunch not too far from the office. Considering its very modern and slick neighbors, the traditional looking building is an attraction for visitors and residents alike.

Friendly place recommend by our hotel bellman. Good selection of local beer and cider. Unfortunately closed early the night we were there for some maintenance so only got to try one. On the plus side at 16 dollars for 2 drinks that was probably a good thing.

Enjoyed the patio, staff were alright, food was very good, great place for a drink or two with a meal.
