Classic Eats

We visited on a Sunday for brunch. I arrived shortly after they opened at 9:am and waited at the bar for my cousins to arrive. The bar is bright and open with interesting ceiling fans and a view of downtown Burien’s Ambaum Avenue. The Bloody Marry delicious had nice presentation (eat the bacon garnish sweet/salty/smokey). By 10:am it looked like they were at about 1/4-1/2 capacity (rainy day so back patio wasn’t open). I wanted to try the triple stack French toast and was excellent. The restaurant had attractive artwork on the walls. We were able to able to have conversation without having to raise our voice. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.

The wait time was decent for a party of 3. The prickly pear mimosa was fire 🔥.. I wish our waiter was more attentive to our needs, but as far as the food quality? It was amazing and they outdid themselves with the many different flavors. I will go back but hopefully with more spunky lively waiters/waitress. Other than that, it was bomb!

The Reuben was on point! Oooweee gooey, melty cheese, melt in your mouth corned beef, saurkraut and a reuben sauce! Slammin! Oh yeah, it was fresh of the grill so it was hot as hell!! 🤣 The wait staff was very attentive and accommodating and managing the lunch crowd with precision. I will be returning to this spot to try some other menu options. I list this as must try spot.

Food was okay. Not as great as the reviews described. Only offer brunch on weekends. 11am on weekdays is lunch. You can order chicken and waffles, chicken fried steak and one other thing during this time as they are on the all day menus. Chicken and waffles was strange. It was wings. Not chicken breasts or larger pieces of bone in chicken. Breaded party wings. The waffles were a little soft but Belgian style. Could have had more spices or seasoning in them. Food takes a while to come out. Maybe 30 min or so. Bloody Mary was decent. Not strong and watered down quickly. Has nice open air windows though. Heard brunch on weekends was good but probably wouldn’t return.

DANGEROUS. Garbage. We waited half an hour for food that we couldn't physically eat because they didn't care about food allergies. Never coming here again. We ordered gluten free. We mentioned multiple times it had to be gluten free. The gluten bun they provided made the entire meal inedible. We called to check after one bite because something tasted off, and they said they didn't even add gluten-free to the order in the first place.
