The Healthy Scratch

Went for lunch yesterday with some friends and it was delicious! Got the avacado egg salad sandwich and the berry toast and both were on point! Its easiest to park in the parking garage and then follow the signs around the building to the entrance :) I'll definitely be back to try some different menu items and their juices!

Went here this past weekend. I was very disappointed. Nobody greets you when you come in . There are kiosks at the counter that you order from, it is very Impersonal. They did not have any hot beverages available. They had these items on their menu but when you tried to order it on the kiosk it wasn’t there. Finally a worker stated their coffee machine was not working. I ordered avocado toast it tasted like the bread was stale and or has been frozen and thawed . The avocado itself tasted old and artificial. It was a really bad experience overall. I will not be returning.

I was predisposed to hate this place - admittedly biased by my disgust for the very sports worship that makes for some real A-holes (with a few respectable exceptions) and lauds millions of dollars upon them as a reward. ...My understanding is that is exactly how the owner got her "scratch" to start the place, so I truly expected 'spoiled brat' levels of carelessness - but was open minded enough to give it a chance anyway. Accordingly, I couldn't have been more surprised by my first visit. The bowl that I tried was truly amazing - flavorful, fresh, and indulgent enough to make me amazed that there was any way it could be "healthy". The only complaint I might have is that the "toast with toppings" are priced like full sandwiches - but the rest of the prices seem reasonable for good quality food and smoothies. I look forward to trying more from this place on my lunch breaks - intrigued by the little sign with daily specials particularly.
