Major Cool Off

The new owner has really made some positive changes! Much cleaner, tasteful decor, nice addition of hotdogs and bakery treats, spotless gumball machines, books for kids to pull out and look at, etc. Still has the little tykes playground out front. and playhouses are faded and well loved but still work and kids don't care. The owner went out to dry them off after yesterday's rain! Coffee flavored ice cream would be the only thing I'd recommend, but not sure if it would be a big seller or not. Keep up the great improvements. Everyone, this place is located on Dingens street right off the exit 1 south Ogden exit on the 90. It is really quick to swing right back on the 90 to the 190 and downtown. It is much nicer than the ice cream places downtown like the hatch! I don't know the owner or anything, just want to give credit for some nice changes in the very short time since it switched hands.

With everything from hard ice cream to soft serve to baked goods, this is the place to be when you have a sugar craving. Their portion sizes are huge so be prepared and order a size down. The blizzards are delicious and massive! They also provide nice indoor and outdoor seating underneath pergolas. There’s some play equipment for the kiddos too. It was a nice little find on a hot day.

They have 2 'specialty' custard/ soft serve flavors they rotate out ever week- it is to die for. I've never found anything like this in Buffalo before. Look up the flavors of the month towards the beginning of the month so you can plan accordingly- you'll want to stock up when they have your favorite. Owner is insanely nice. Place is always clean. So grateful to have found this gem!

Delicious options! Decent prices and such a cute place for kids! My little one loved all the just the right size play ground equipment they had! It was even getting dark out and she was running around playing! We had to avoid some of them though because they were filled with a ton of rain water. We will definitely be back soon!

So I really dont like giving poor reviews...but sometimes it's necessary for a place to learn and hopefully change for the better. Last year new owners took over for the longtime owners. We had our fingers crossed. We will unfortunately be finding a new ice cream place...the service isn't even close to the same as it was with old owners, prices have skyrocketed, while some of the toppings quality has dropped. I was charged $0.50 more than the advertised price which blew my mind. The outside play stuff for the kids hasnt been washed or wiped down since they took over as far as I can tell and my daughter loved playing on it. The only reason they got a 2 is because ice cream is ice cream and we love ice cream. And the fact that you think I touched your gross outside "toys" is a joke!!!

Best custard place to get ice cream, not ice milk.... Great variety, friendly employees.... Unbelievable place to bring children and keep then occupied for awhile,because they have a playground on each side of the building, and plenty of benches, picnic tables, and even a shelter for indolen inclement weather. I only wished they stayed open longer in the season, they close, I think, in early September.... With warm weather going through October sometimes,it would be great if they stayed open through 🎃 Halloween, and I'm sure they would stay busy. I believe it's because kids are back in school and it slows down... Weekends anyone?....😁
