Emphasis

It was a midnight snack that we were searching for; for my fiance. We ordered a Belgian waffle to go as they were closing. The atmosphere was very pleasant, super friendly owner; deep conversations were had. We took the waffle into our car and as my fiance uncovered it, the car filled with notes of cooked batter with a vanilla scent. She only spoke once after the first bite, to proclaim its excellence!! She thoroughly enjoyed it. This wasn't my first visit there. I have had delicious breakfast there with my folks. We all loved the food. This one is a "must go". Reasonable prices are a plus.

I got to my doctor's appointment too early and needed some food in my tummy. Thankfully I googled "breakfast near me" I was able to park at my doctor's office and walk 2 minutes to the diner. I didn't add pics because I was very hungry but the coffee was on point I ordered scrambled eggs with cheddar home fries bacon and a waffle and I was not disappointed. I don't tend to eat out alot because I hate wasting money on bad food when I know how to cook very well myself but I definitely did not mind paying $27 plus a tip to this diner. And the service was quick and so pleasant. I definitely enjoyed my time here and highly recommend them. Thank you so much to the staff at Emphasis. Much success to you all.

Went to this traditional Greek diner after a follow-up visit to the doctor in Bay Ridge. Just a block away and conveniently located near the R train. It was friendly and comfortable. A family owned business, serving the community for years. Mána is a wonderful hostess and the matriarch of the family. She was even nice enough to teach me a few words in the Greek language.

Excellent diner. Food here is better than a lot of other diners. The breakfast is strong here as well as the fried food. I would recommend the waffles and pancakes. The batter they use is very good. Also their fresh ice tea is very good as well. Lots of space and the food comes out very quickly. Almost everything I've ordered here, I would order again. Give this place a try if your in the neighborhood.

Today was one of the best New York City diner experiences I've ever had, and I've had plenty. The Village Salad is essentially a Greek salad without the lettuce. What could be better? And this one was big, fresh, delicious, and beautiful. Service was attentive and capable, and the welcome was exceptionally warm. Even the coffee was a cut above. Emphasis is something special.

Such stellar customer service! The ladies who work here are such sweethearts. Always a smile and a kind word. The order is correct. The food is great and comes out promptly. The atmosphere is light and airy. They deliver 24/7 and that’s a bonus. The people who run this place make a point to make you feel welcome and the fare is well priced.
