This is place by far my favourite Japanese restaurant in Brisbane. Their cold plates are so fresh. Their hot plates are so delicious. I love their Beef ribs and wagyu katsu that was on special last week. Great relaxing ambience and friendly customer service. I would definitely visit here again.

I recommend this cosy restaurant if you’re a fan of fusion Japanese food. Ingredients are cleverly put together and your taste buds might be pleasantly surprised.
The environment is comfortable and it’s a nice place to be at with friends or your spouse.
Service is very friendly. Although I’m not a fusion food lover I still had a positive experience with the restaurant!

We got a chance to visit Hikari on a Friday evening. We made a reservation online prior to our arrival just in case they were busy. We were really glad that we did so as it got busy soon after our arrival.
The service and vibe at Hikari were exceptional. The staff were friendly and willing to engage in conversation about the the menu. The food was definitely the highlight. We enjoyed each dish we ordered, and the highlight of the evening was the Wagyu Karubi. The beef was really good, and I love the combination of the cabbage salad with the sweet soy sauce. We'll definitely return to try the sashimi and sushi menu.

Highly recommend this Japanese Izakaya. Fabulous part of town, exceptional service and outstanding food, sake and drinks. Everything was perfect and for late weekend lunch it was easy to park on street.

I went on a spur of the moment date here and the food was out of this world. The drinks were fantastic. The desert was creative and balanced. The sushi and mains were to die for. The prices were fair and the service was great. Highly recommend and will be going again.
