Harbourside Fish And Chips

The fish quality and cook was great! I can still taste the fish tones even after being fried. They have home made tartar sauce and they give you the whole bottle, I think I ended up using half of it. Fries are pretty bad they taste like fried potatoes, and nothing else. No seasoning or texture. If I come again, I'll upgrade to onion rings. The funnel cake was great too, very light and much better than wonderland's

Excellent local chippie. I've tried both the traditional fried fish and the grilled options. I prefer the grilled version of the fish. My favourite is the popcorn shrimp. To me this is the show stopper on the menu. I also tried the pies, I wanted the steak and kidney pie, however, I ended up with a steak and mushroom pie. That was a bit of a bummer cos I don't like mushrooms. All-in-all, my experiences here have been pleasurable and I will definitely continue to patronise this place.

Went here after treetop trekking and boy, we were all surprised how good this place is. The interior decorations remind me of the local shops I've been at in Nova Scotia, that sea side vibe. The fish were crispy on the outside and moist inside. We had haddock and basa. Home made onion rings are amazing, ate them all before I could take a photo. The funnel cake, the best I had. I always had them at Wonderland, CNE, and center island. Habourside's are not overly sweet, they even put Oreo chunks into the batter. Prices are perfect compared with the places I've been at downtown Toronto. Def worth the 20-30min wait!

We've eaten from here multiple times and love their food! The customer service is great as well, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The halibut is really good, pricy but worth it. Their lunch special is also a good value. I took away one star because we tried the shrimp tacos and felt that it was too small for the price you paid for them. They have a huge dessert menu as well, but we haven't gotten a chance to try anything other than the rice pudding, which was delicious. Can't wait to come back again for our next meal!

Usually the food here is fabulous - I've been coming here for years. Service is always great and friendly. I'm guessing they've changed their supplier for the pies - I had a steak & kidney pie last weekend and by the time I got home it was basically pastry mush in a tin pan. No 'steak' in it - it was just a congealed mess of lumpy gravy and soggy pastry. I didn't even finish eating it. I'm hoping they return to their old supplier, and then I'll come back. :)
