Stopped by for brunch and was very impressed with the food. We were in more of a lunch mood and got the ham and cheese sandwich and the chicken sandwich. I really enjoyed the chips which were long flat pieces of a potato. We ended up staying for drinks which were delicious. We had the hi tech and impeachment. Both were refreshing drinks. Very modern edgy vibe in the restaurant.

Since our first visit to Emmerson last fall, this has quickly become a go-to restaurant for me and my husband. We have been here on numerous occasions for dinner as well as for breakfast and lunch and have loved every visit. As far as the portions go, if you’re looking for a giant heap of food, go somewhere else. If you’re looking for fresh, innovative dishes that you will savor and enjoy, then this is the place for you. I’ve tried a variety of items on the menu (including the drinks) and have enjoyed each and every one. (And have never left hungry.) The food and cocktails are amazing and very fairly priced.

We came here with our family for Mothers Day brunch. It was a great choice. I personally did not eat but all my family ranted and raved about how good it was. My 15 year old cousin supposedly got the best pasta she had ever had. My macchiato was delicious! The atmosphere is perfect and the bathrooms were clean. I will be back for some food soon!

Boulder really needed a new, truly good, upper end ($$$$) restaurant and I really think Emmerson is it. Food is pretty close to perfect, interior is funky but cool and service is good to great. Welcoming atmosphere, too, which is important at this price point. They are even nice about us bringing our baby although we ate on the deck on purpose and went early to ensure she wouldn’t disturb other guests. Supposedly based on the the ancient grain “emmer” the bread and pasta here are epic. Carbonara is life changing and pan d’epi is warm and served with house made cultured butter. Both real tens even on an international scale. Dessert has also been a highlight, my husband described the buckwheat cream pavlova as “the taste of jumping into a fresh hay stack!” The raw menu and meat (called “Animals”) were daring and interesting with out trying too hard. First time we had beef carpaccio with blue cheese and a raw oyster. Cheese and raw oysters scared me but it worked. Second time we went for the Nordic aquavit cured salmon with parsnips and rye knäckebröd. Salmon was a ten. We tried the lamb our first time, pretty great but not mind blowing, the second time we went for the duck with crispy skin and honey on a bed of grains. Really nice. Without a singular style or culture Emmerson manages to pull off fine dining that’s different from anything else in Boulder. If you have the cash or for a special occasion it’s really fun for foodies.

New restaurant in Boulder but is already one of the best and could be better than Boulder's very best i.e. Frasca and Flagstaff House. Very cool building and creative decorating. Attention to the little details. Service was friendly and intensive. Pace of courses very good. All dishes were unique, complex delicious and beautiful. We had diver scallops and Halibut that were great. Pavlova dessert is different and terrific. Adequate to share. Nice portions, prices are fair.

Had a great experience at Emmerson - good wine list. Shared a few of the items pictured on the menu. They were able to accommodate celiac which was nice.

So these guys are really dead. Clearly no one knows they really exist... They have a sign outside that says 'GOOD (NOT GREAT)', and I think they have it out there to try to be good sports about it. But I can't help but wonder why you do that?? You might try advertising the menu? I had a burger. It was laden with butter. The pickled onions were pretty much there. The iceberg lettuce was some white butt end of a leaf, sticking out drastically over the burger and bun. Presentation was terrible. The bun was also pretty dry. I thought the meat quality and cook was pretty good. I cut into it and it looked under done, but as it tested it was just right. The 'salad' was covered in oil and was extremely salty. It made the greens edible I guess.
