Cavan Cafe

For me! The Cavan House has always been "The Cavan House" for me and my generation It has always been the bar next to the other bar. Regardless of which one of the two bars you were sitting in.. and introduced to 'me, myself and I" (yes all three of me) by the generation before us, and passed on to the next generation after US. I have always been greeted with smiles and hellos by everybody in that House. And that continuing camaraderie that I felt the first time I was ever in there is still the same to this day.. Thanks to Paullywog lol and Ralph. But mostly from the Bartenders that have worked there over the last 50 years. The Good People and Good Friends that still frequent this establishment are all top shelf. I am very fortunate to still be part of that Hyde Park history. to this day I will not go through Hyde Park without stopping in to say Hello. . And I take those smiles with me wherever I go. Stop in for a cocktail with lunch of course. And you can leave with one of those famous "Cavan House" Smiles!.. Ty Jimmy James Guido

I'm telling you I was wrong about this place. I thought it was going to ghetto but it wasn't at all. They were the kindest people I have ever met in a bar. They were so friendly and calm. I ordered chicken and fries it was delicious. The chef was very nice and went the extra mile by giving me lots of napkins and condiments. The dj was phenomenal she was super sweet and accommodating to everyone's tatte in music
