Wow… tastes just like being in Taiwan. The best oyster omelet I’ve ever had in the states.

Good food at a reasonable price! Dined as a group of 4. We ordered 1 dish each and shared an 2 types of side dishes. Their serving size is a little bigger than the usual Asian restaurant portions, so we had to get some boxes to take leftovers home. Expect to spend around $25ish per head if you order a drink.
The popcorn chicken was good and was fried perfectly, but it's on the blander side for fried chicken. If you could ask for more of the powdered flavoring, then I think it would be perfect. Would still order it again as is. The Dan Bing is also really good. You can ask for chili and exrra sauce on the side.
Individually, we ordered the following:
- Spicy wonton noodles: decent number of dumplings. You can ask them for more/less spice
- Alex's noodles: good, but missing some meat
- Pork belly rice: good, but missing some form of sauce
- Braised Beef noodle soup: huge serving size and definitely worth the try.
Added notes:
- they have a restroom for patrons
- there's about 4-5 slots of street parking right in front but it's shared with the other establishments.

Very nice family restaurant with amazing food and a new menu. Always loving their beef stuffed pancake, salt and pepper pork chop, and their beef noodle soup. Their shaved ice is also pretty nice looking and tasting. Variety of drinks, pretty big portions, great food, but sometimes has a bit of a wait time and parking can be a struggle on the street. Overall dope place though

Giant bowl of shaved ice!!! Super friendly owner and staff! Loved how you can add a lot of toppings to the shaved ice! Definitely enough for a group to share (more than enough to share between groups of 4-5). The owner was very nice and stopped by too chat, we just came to get some dessert after having dinner somewhere else and enjoyed the shaved ice :) portions are huge and great for groups!

Fantastic Taiwanese eatery with warm, friendly service! The Alex Noodles were delightful with a mix of Taiwanese soy braised pork and curry, while the soy braised egg was well braised and full of flavor. Highly recommended!

AMAZING FOOD! AMAZING SERVICE!
I went here with my family and the staff is very friendly and loving. The food was beyond delicious. It was my first time having Taiwanese food and I had a very grateful experience.

First time here!
The name of the restaurant is based on a TV show in Taiwan. The front desk is made to replicate a ship.
Had the braised beef noodle soup, and asked them to make it a little spicy. Everything was great. I had also asked for ginger tea without sugar, and learned they make it with a ginger syrup, which explains why it's pretty sweet. The staff was kind to help me add more hot water to even out the syrup. Not too bad, but I may skip the drink the next time.
It's definitely run by a mom, her son, and some other staff members. The entire experience reminds me of other family run restaurants.
I definitely plan on coming back to try their shaved ice!!
FYI: Came here for lunch on a Sunday and it was quickly packed! Also, it was pretty chilly in the restaurant for April (dress warm).

Okay food that satisfies the Taiwanese food craving.
Like many of the other reviews have mentioned, there aren't many Taiwanese food joints in Boston. Dolphin Bay, being one of the few Taiwanese restaurants that exists in Boston, is a good option if you're looking for a solid meal. They offer a nice selection of Taiwanese dishes and the food pretty good (and comes in large portions).
From what I ate, this is what I think of the food:
- Mustard green and pork noodle soup had a great broth and the mustard greens were fresh, but the noodles were not that great and we couldn't finish it.
- The beef noodle soup was just okay. Broth was not amazing -- I thought it was too sour, noodles were the same as the mustard green and pork noodle soup, but the beef was really good (strong flavor and perfect texture)
- Popcorn chicken was solid. It was crispy and juicy, with good seasoning.
- Oyster pancake was okay. Not a lot of oysters, but the pancake was gooey, as it should be, and the flavors were yummy.
- Pork on rice had good flavor and is another solid dish. Lots of aromatics and pairs super well with rice. The curry is a bonus and the portion is also huge.
- Squid balls were overlooked by the group, no one really touched it so I would not recommend ordering it. It was dry and didn't have a lot of flavor.
- Chicken leg was juicy and tender. Also had pretty decent flavors.
Overall good meal, but nothing wowing to me. The service was super kind and quick, but the food is just okay. I'd only come if I were craving Taiwanese food and it wouldn't be a top option for me if I'm dining in Allston.

The food was great, the staff was very nice but the service was very slow. The restaurant is perfect size with big potential to be even better. They need help with decor and update the furniture to make it feel more COZY. Other than that if you can disregard the cosmetic look you'll enjoy their food.

Get the salt and pepper pork chop plate it is amazing.
Pork chop is perfect (I like this one more than the breaded version I had last timer - IMO tastier while also lighter). Reminds me of pork chop rice plates I had in Hong Kong.
And then you get a ton of rice and sides.
Their signature wonton noodles are cool too but the salt and pepper pork chop is now my goto order.
