This is a MUST whenever I’m in HHI or Bluffton. Bluffton is my happy place and The Shrimp and Grits here are the BEST I’ve ever had anywhere in the Lowcountry!! Ask for the Shrimp and Grits with the Chorizo!!! It’s not in the menu but they will make it!! I could sit on the porch and people watch all day here too!!

So pleasantly surprised by the menu. Awesome food. The service was outstanding. The servers felt like family. The presentation of food that was served was awesome. Definitely could recognize the quality of the ingredients in everything I ate.

The ambiance was so soothing and the staff and food made for a very warm atmosphere. Enjoyed a delicious lunch with plenty of kid-friendly options for food and want to come back for tea next time!

Me and my friend had a great time at the cottage!! Our server Niky was amazing. Service was fast and friendly and the drinks and food were delicious! Will definitely be coming again. Seriously get this girl Niky a raise :)

First time at The Cottage and I had to try the tomato pie. I'm not sure it was quite my thing, but it was made pretty well (tiny bit soggy in the middle but given the subject, it didn't seem unreasonable). I would definitely go back and try something else, everything I saw looked great.

Lovely outdoor porch setting and the food was outstanding. Best avocado I’ve ever had, toast piled high with fixings and served on wonderful warm rustic Italian bread with fresh fruit!! It was delicious! My daughter had “Exactly what I wanted!” Hers was also 5 star! Thank you, Cottage Cafe for not being another “Nectar!”

This place lived up to the reviews and the pictures I saw. Even coming here on a cool and rainy day, it was still very pleasant being here.
Loved that this place was basically in an old home that had been in the area for years. It felt very homey eating out on the porch.
I loved the OJ and the Staff Favorite "May River Sunshine" cocktail. It was exactly what I needed that early afternoon.
Now, the reason I'm not giving them 4 on service was due to one error or maybe misunderstanding. Me and my sis were told the special salad of the day included blackened Salmon among the other ingredients. However, upon the plate being delivered I was like this is pretty but doesn't look like any salmon was included.
Despite this, I found the food to be absolutely delicious. It was "the" best meal of my trip. Everything on the plate, despite being chaotic looking, was seasoned to perfection.
Give them a try and don't forget to go inside and take home some baked goods
