The Goose

I've lived in the Southside for a while and wish I had noticed this sandwich shop earlier. I usually don't like sandwiches or deli meat but the sandwiches here are made fresh with quality ingredients and I eat every bite. The sandwiches are huge and great price. They are also made quickly and to your liking. Great place to stop for a quick lunch to go or to dine in. Will definitely be back!

The Goose is a Lehigh staple and I can see why. Tony, the owner, is a rockstar and even remembers alumni from years past (including their order!). Be warned - these sandwiches are BIG. And amazing (you’ll never go to another sandwich shop again, let alone the Subway down the street). Highly recommend you look up the secret menus online before you come - there are a LOT of amazing options. Also, don’t forget to tell them toasted (where your bread/bun is toasted), melted (where the inside/cheese of your sandwich is melted), or both (I love both).

I had been a regular here for years and really loved their sandwiches, but the last few times I went, the person who handles the cash register also was in charge of wrapping my sandwich and they did not change their gloves. That means they handled my sandwich with the same gloves they used to handle money. That’s really gross and unsanitary so I’m going to pass on this place from now on.
