This is another gem a moms and pops small restaurant that's BiGG on flavors. I had a brief conversation with the owner and he's said he's been here for over 36 years and trust the food speaks volumes. It's a nice pleasant experience. Definitely coming back..... two 👍👍 up

Great big plate of home potatoes, sausages, eggs, toasts. Old school/ unpretentious served up quickly. Owner/ Operator with great service. Left w full belly !

The. Best. Breakfast. Burritos. In. Town. I do not exaggerate and worry about telling the world. Pollo’s makes a simple and tasty breakfast burrito with soft potatoes, distributed melted cheese goodness, and perfectly fluffy eggs. And the price is unbeatable.

The owner was polite, but the food was only 2 stars at best. I got a denver omelet, which was very pedestrian. It was ok. Nothing special. I saw the cook rub his nose & then immediately touch food on a plate, in the kitchen. I will not go back. No offense, but that sealed the deal. The owner was talking to the cook right when the cook did the deed but said nothing. I already paid for my meal, so I stayed, but I won't go back.

I love this humble diner! Food is tasty, atmosphere is quirky and cozy, prices are competitive. Service is great, the owner is funny. Great place for people watching. Conveniently closer to bart for a quick morning bite or lunch grab. My old favorite place to study.

I love Pollo's ! It is one of the few places that I travel across town for. I have been eating here for years and love the owner and the good food and conversation. The Gyros are yummy and I like to bring a few home to surprise my growing (now grown) son's (now with one off to college..Son) I highly recommend this long time Berkeley treasure.
