The only one high-wnd fine dining experience that offers Bengali cuisine in Bangalore. The ambience setup is perfect with the food options. This is a place you can take your colleagues and loved ones for a date. Food options are gastronomic. Taste balance is perfect.

Esplanade in Bangalore's bustling Indiranagar is a hidden gem for Bengali cuisine enthusiasts. We decided to experience their Bengali buffet, having wisely pre-booked a table a week in advance, and boy, were we glad we did, especially during the crowded festivities of Nobomi Durga Puja. The standout feature of Esplanade is its mouthwatering array of Bengali delicacies. The menu boasts an impressive selection, including the delicate and flavorful bhetki paturi, richly spiced chicken, the hearty mutton dakbungalow, and the creamy chingri malai curry. Personally, I found the prawn dish to be the true star, surpassing the delicious paturi. But it doesn't end with the main course. Esplanade also shines in its dessert offerings. We relished the sweet delights of misthi doi, chanar jalebi, and roshmalai. The meal was complemented by a delightful variety of papod and two types of chutney, adding the perfect balance of flavors. The only caveat is the restaurant's popularity, which leads to a crowded ambiance, especially during festivals like Durga Puja. To avoid disappointment, pre-booking is a must. In summary, Esplanade is a haven for authentic Bengali cuisine in Bangalore. If you're in search of a culinary adventure that's rich in flavor and tradition, this restaurant is a must-visit, provided you secure your reservation well in advance.

Tried the 5 spice chicken gravy with rice and it tasted exactly like my mom's home made chicken curry. And the mango lassi to pair with it was great! The ambiance is very posh and service is good. However, it's very expensive.

Amazing fine dining Bengali restaurant in the heart of Indiranagar. Close to the metro station. We ordered a bunch of starters and two main course . The Afghani mutton was the first of its kind , lacked the lamb flavour , but was crispy and tasted good . The betki fish was deep fried and crispy and tasted the best out of all starters ordered. The mango drink aam porar and gondoraj drink tasted great and appetizing. The hilsa here was spoken loud about and dint disappoint us . Served with rice and the mustard gravy was great . The prawn coconut curry served in tenter coconut tasted amazing . Overall ambience was stunning and the service personal was polite .

I fell in awe of the food of this place. Shoutout to the chef!! The ambience or the service may not be something to write home for, but the food is absolutely lipsmacking. Weekends have a huge waiting time (1 hour or more) but bear that time. Let your hunger brew because its worth it. The prawn, fish cutlets were amazing. Mutton Jhol Basanti Pulao was too good. The Fish Kobiraji was heavenly!! I ordered the Daab Chingdi. If you are not a fan of coconut milk, skip it. If you like it, then you are in for a treat.

The first thing that strikes is the ambience created in a very neo classical way within a small space. It is located on the first floor. What we found out is that the service is slow even though courteous, so be prepared and be patient for the orders to materialise.... at least 20 minutes. In our case for a group of 06,it turned out to be 55 minutes!!! from the time of placing the order.... an inordinately long and unacceptable time line... Even though food was being served to other guests who arrived a little later .. . We complained and someone mumbled that starters were being served to them. The waiters and the manager could not provide any acceptable explanation.Seems that they are managing the show with some staff(cook)/equipment shortage. Further, I observed that the drinking water glasses were not placed on the table gently but very casually that was unpleasant to hear. They could improve upon this point. Waiters were well behaved and presented themselves in an impeccable haircut and uniform. Now coming to the best part i.e., the food. It was excellent. So no complaints here...the taste was authentic bengali... and neither too mild nor too spicy... Just the right flavour. All of us were happy with the quality and quantity of food served. We had aampora sharbat, gondhoraj lebu jol, daab chingri, basanti polau, plain basmati rice, luchi, haathruti, mutton kosha, bhetki Kalia, bhetki shorshe, and in sweets... Nolen gurer ice cream and nolen gurer misti doi. The sweets were terrific. Would visit again but with adequate time and patience in mind.

For long I was craving a Fish Kabiraji like it's made in my hometown, finally the day is today I satisfied my cravings. Located in Indiranagar near the Metro Station just above Chowman (another favorite joint of me originating since kolkata days), the restaurant is super ambient with hints of a bengali fine dine. You get both indoor and outdoor seating (smoking not allowed), the servers welcome you well and first thing I liked is the Menu. The menu is a whole book, legit with leather and don't know I felt very good taking the menu in my hands. We ordered Fish Kabiraji, Chicken Braised Cutlet, Paanchphoron Chicken with Steamed Rice and ended our meal with Roshogollar Payesh (5 stars to that). SUROJIT has been a great server and well attended our table. I'll sneak in someday again in afternoon to satisfy my cravings for my home food. Might be visiting again during Durga Puja, this outlet remains one of my favorites list in Bangalore! 👏 Kudos to food, service and ambience, top notch!

Located at indranagar above chowman- this is a nice place for Bengali cuisine. The menu spread is a lot like the 6 Ballygunge place. The taste is nice overall but I have had better Bengali cuisine before this in Bangalore itself. But the staff service is very nice and polite . Dishes we had fish fry, gondhoraj mojito, luchi , cholar dal, Polao, mutton kosha . Totoal bill was 2100

This place should be visited only because of the taste of food. It is a small restaurant which is heavily crowded on weekends. So better come early to minimize the waiting time.

We recently visited “Esplanade” to try out some authentic bengali dishes and we were amazed to taste and feel the authenticity of the food and vibes there. Being a bengali food lover this place has definitely become one of my favourites. Loved the presentation and taste of each food items we tried (appetisers , starters, meals, desserts ) and along with the authentic taste the service, staff behaviour and hospitality really impressed us. Here is the list of food items what We tried :- Starters : Fish kobiraji Mochar cutlet Meals :- Chana dal & luchi Daab murgi Basanti pulao Steamed rice Dhokar dalna Channar Kaliya Appetisers : Aam pora Sarbot Gandharaj ghol Gandharaj mojito Desserts : Malpua with ice cream. Difficult to pick favourites as loved each and everthing however Fish Kobiraji, Daab Murgi, Luchi’s, Aam Pora Sarbot, Malpua with Icecream are a MUST TRY.
