Vault Eatery

Inconsistent. Sometimes the food is just not up to scratch. Most recently stopped in for an afternoon tea snack. The scone was served with cream that smelled off - wasn’t willing to taste it. The mars bar slice had an overly sweet top layer, but the base was relatively tasteless and seemed stale. Coffee (latte) was great. Service was okay. The building is certainly beautiful, as others have observed.

We had brunch (my wife and daughter) we’re ready for lunch but my boy and I hadn’t had breakfast yet, what a great idea. Queens birthday turned into my birthday with what turned out to be 4 cracking meals with great service and a laid back atmosphere and with 2 young kids we couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend

Great place in a wonderful central location .. in warm weather it is a pleasure sitting outside, but in the old heritage building is also very relaxing . Whenever we return to Bendigo we always visit , from back before it was Mrs Beebs to now being the Vault, with a real UK feel. For breakfast lunch or dinner it's fine. Nice craft beer range too (very important lol)

Ended up walking out. Came here for high tea with bubbles. Wanted to pay the $100.00 via eftpos upfront + $2.00 for parking (which was coin only). Was told they couldn't do this. They directed me to a mall 7 mins walk away - one way to get cash out (closest eftpos machine). This was after waiting over 5 mins for anyone to come and seat us. Left my daughter there and ordered, 15 mins when I got back they weren't even close to having it ready.... hadn't been offered a drink in that time either. Totally applauded..... it was obvious we were in for a long wait so we ended up walking out. Would not go back or recommend to anyone!

Beautiful space to hang out, massive arched window, white walls, splashes of yellow, plenty of natural light. Can’t fault the customer service, all the girls working were attentive and friendly. Delicious, creamy coffee. Got the vault brekky because I was hungry and it sounded like it had a lot going on; eggs, bacon, chorizo, mushies, avo purée, tomato. Was pretty bummed when it came out with 2 eggs but just one piece of everything else. ONE mushroom was especially disappointing.
