Sake Express

Me & my wife came here for a quick lunch. I ordered the steak and veggies with rice and carrots and Japanese spring rolls. My wife ordered the flounder and veggies with lo mein. First off I was surprised at all the options and combos you could get. They offer a couple kinds of fish, shrimp, scallops, steak and chicken. Idk they also had sushi 🍱 and bento boxes. The restaurant was clean. The food came out in like 15 minutes hot and fresh. The spring rolls were delicious, crunchy and full of flavor. My plate was real good. My wife enjoyed her plate, but would rather not had the fish fried. The portions were big we ate til we were full then took some to go. We’ll be back 😊😋

I just had a terrible experience at the sake in Belmont NC. I ordered online which is supposed to be for convenience. I put my 5 kids in the car and drove to pick up my order Leaving my shoes at home because I couldn’t find my other shoe and planned to use the drive through. With no knowledge of the sudden change in policy where if you order online you have to go inside to get your food. When I got to the speaker the rude girl at the window just kept saying you have to come in side. Regardless of how many times I’ve explained my unique situation. I was not about to enter the establishment barefoot nor was I about to leave my children unattended in a parking lot. The girl at the window was rude and walked of laughing when I asked to speak to a manager. After she still tried to tell me I had to come inside. The second girl who was not a manager handed me my food from the shelf literally right behind her. She then tried to explain the restaurant was short staffed. And the girl was just following the rules. However this does not make any sense to me because even if I came inside someone would have still had to hand me my food from behind the counter…… Then she said well at least you got your food. when that is not at all the point. I am a customer paying for a service. If you can not have the good sense or customer service to accommodate me then this restaurant should not be in business. The problem with customer service these days is the workers want to be combative. I have worked in customer service all my life. Never once have I hesitated to accommodate a customer or assist where I could. Something you can’t do. But something like this should have no problem at all. And if you are going to change these type of policies at least put a notice some where !!! I’m glad I don’t have the time I use to. 🙏🏼

Took my order thru the drive thru - I paid $11.75 for my meal. They told me to pull around and I waited over 30 min while everyone else got their orders behind me. I had to call just for them to not even know what I ordered. I could hear them in the background laughing and sounding clueless that I was out here. Had to RE-ORDER my food and wait again for them to make it. If I could give zero stars I would.

When the other sake express don’t have sushi this one has it. It might be a good while drive to this place but, it is worth it. Their Japanese rolls are hot and yummy. Their sushi don’t fall apart. I would recommend this place to anyone. Belmont sake express is very good. The staff are friendly and professional. Even when they miss an order they replace it as long as you have receipt. Which is reasonable.

I used to like eating here a lot but the past three times I have gone they have messed up my order. This time they gave me the most plain piece of fish with no teriyaki sauce? Really sucks because it used to be good but I think it’s so hyped up these days they just don’t care about the food / service anymore.

Not gonna lie, I thought fastfood sushi and hibachi was sketchy. Turns out I was dead wrong and very thankful I was convinced to stop here. This place was amazing. I need one everywhere I go. Food, service, speed of order to the table were all perfect. The hibachi was probably one of the best overall I've ever had. I cannot say enough great things about Sake Express.

I moved to Charlotte from Chicago and the food is just not the same. Most places don’t compare to the food choices I am used to in Chicago. I was so excited to find this location. The sushi is wonderful and the food taste very good. Hence the fact that I’m showing you a half eaten plate LOL are you going

I stopped through this location tonight. I was running late and I call to verify that I would still be able to place a order and spoke to Miss Jeanette. She was very kind over the phone and took my order when I arrived to the restaurant. Amazing service. Jeanette is very customers service oriented and sets the tone for this location. An absolute gem.
