We haven't been here lately just due to covid and the reviews but decided to give it a try usually we do not go to a place that closes an hour or so but I am glad we did decide to get take out. My husband got the city chicken and boy was we both surprised nice chunks of pork and a mushroom gravy over it..... delicious!!!!! so I know some places have bad reviews and it could have been a 1 off situation but definitely give them a try you will not be disappointed!!!

Forgot an item on the order although they didn't charge me for it. Menu online was not updated to what they current had available. Staff had a less than amicable tone. In terms of quality the eggs had a plastic taste. They were badly cooked and eggs are had to mess up. The hashbrowns were undercooked and omlet slightly burned. Eggs in omlet also had a bad taste. (I tired to give it to multiple who were hung over and they received a bad reception from each person who tried them) Pancakes were good though. Would not go here again especially for the prices charged, the quality was not there. I order out breakfast a lot and this was the first time I was disappointed.

Horrible experience leaving a hungry kid sad. I placed an order for a kids meal for carry out. Picked it up, no problem. Called back minutes after the pick up to place another order for a kids meal for a different child(saw his brothers chicken strips and decided he wanted some). When I went to pick up my second carry out, I was told they can't do kids meals for carry outs. While that may be fine, I literally just picked up the same order 20 minutes prior. Got a hungry kid standing there just wanting his food and me trying to support small business. Come to find out, that was a mistake. The manager, Joe, was a incompetent and would not honor a kids meal pick up, notwithstanding the fact one was just picked up. He's clearly not a people person and should steer clear of jobs that require interaction with the public. The owner was not in and the waitress whom originally took my order said sometimes the owner let's them, sometimes not. Sounds like management and the owner need to get their policy straight and stop confusing their paying costumers, along with their wait staff. Not good for business and purely inconvenient, though it was superb spending my money elsewhere.The waitresses were all kind and apologetic, as it's not their fault they work for ignorance. One would think that, during a pandemic especially, a business would prefer all the business it can get. Turns out, Sam's Place would rather their business went across the street to A&W...with kids meals and carry outs🙄

Zero stars was not an option. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY WILL PICK AND CHOOSE WHAT AND WHO THEY SELL MENU ITEMS TO. (Yes, I’m serious) You can have a kids meal carried out from one waitress but the next says they cannot. So how do they choose who is allowed this “special order treatment” exactly? Is it skin color? Hair style? Clothing selection? When allowing kids meals to be ordered as a carry out, the waitresses all know that it just depends. Sometimes the manager allows it. THE MANAGER “JOE” SHOULD NOT BE DEALING WITH THE PUBLIC!!! Instead of having a first time customer return, they now lose one forever. Word of mouth is powerful. I chose to support a local business in Belleville today and witnessed this level of service. (Let’s be real - lack there of is more like it) If you need to grab a kids meal in a hurry for your hungry child, you’re better off going ANY place else.
