Papilio

Me and a friend visited here for the set lunch menu today (Saturday) We had the squid for starters, flat iron steak for main and the churros for dessert and we could not fault any of it! It was all so delicious we did not leave a single thing on the plates. The cocktails (alcoholic & non alcoholic) were spot on. The staff were so courteous and attentive. We sat outside to finish our drinks to which they put the heaters on for us and gave us a blanket each. Could not reccomend this place enough. We will definitely be returning.

There was a group of 11 women for prosecco afternoon tea. The customer experience was great from booking to paying the bill. The caked and sandwiches were delicious and the bottomless prosecco was flowing. We didn't feel rushed to go after the 2 hours and had a great time. I'd def recommend Papilio for big group bookings.

I'd give a 3.5 if I could I had two dishes; to start the avocado on toast which was nice, but had a lot of raw onion. Something I do enjoy but even for me it was overpowering and I think many would think was far too much. The main was the vegan tortellini. This was nice, but missing a little something to make it great. Adding a lot of salt and pepper improved the meal, and the candied tomatoes were very nice. I still left feeling hungry. The atmosphere was very nice and nice decor. The mushroom pot sounds intriguing but I won't rush back. Also worth a mention that there was a vegan pasta mentioned in the menu outside, but couldn't see this on the menu at the table. Quite disappointing.

Great restaurant. Some fun cocktails, these were a little on the expensive side but fun for the occasion. There was something on the menu for everyone. We'll cooked and staff are very nice. 10% service charged added but you don't mind when they are as good as they are. Makes me happy that they are all getting something for their great service
