Salsa Verde

Thought the food was good . My only issue is "bang for the buck". I got nachos and my wife got the tamales. My nachos didn't even fill my tray and with her tamales she only got a small scoop of rice and beans. I've been to other Mexican restaurants and they fill those trays. Was disappointed in this fact. Both meals were about $8.50 each.

Came here on a Tuesday for $1 tacos. All three of us were served cold tacos, cold beans and luke warm/crunchy rice. Because of how busy it was and we were in a rush I didn't bother complaining. Came here again tonight and again we were served cold food. There was only one.other was only one other party at the restaurant. I don't know why we can't get hot food. The food and service used to be great when they first opened, I don't know what has happened.

Food was amazing. Staff is awesome. And the prices are very reasonable. A word of advice though, there aren't enough napkins to go around. Having a dispenser at every table would be very helpful. Also, it would be nice to have plates or trays for the pickled carrots and other sauce bar items. All in all a great place to eat. Would definitely recommend.

This is the fourth time to Batavia Salsa Verde since they opened. Every time I go is with the hopes that they improve. Today being like the other times. The food is gross. I got nachos because the tacos aren't great. The ground beef on my nachos was dry and looked cooked after being frost bitten. The sour cream to put on it was hot and soupy like their beans and guacamole. The only reason for one star versus none is the horchata is good. But a beverage isn't a reason to return to a restaurant. Not going to return ever. Dog food shouldn't look more appealing.

I love this place. It's real Mexican food done right. It's not fast food, but it's quick. All the employees were happy, I got a really great tour of the menu when they realized it was my first time there, and everything was clean and in good shape. I highly recommend this restaurant when you just need some good food, and you have a few minutes to relax. The horchata is delicious.
