Good food....RC Cola, haven't had it in years.....just as good as I remember. I thought I little pricey for the portion size but still good.....waitress was absolutely rude....never even checked on our table until we were done eating and still had to wait 15 mins for the check....would definitely return as long as she didn't wait on us.

This is a family staple and we were excited to go back this year. Food is no frills in that it's served in a takeout container, but it's delicious. I had the swordfish special (my first time trying it) and it was delicious and tender. We also ordered the tuna appetizer which was amazing. Service was fast and even though we had a large party (14 adults and kids) everything was correct.

King crab was delicious! Perfectly cooked, sweet, and juicy! We stopped by for dinner before driving back home after spending the day at the beach. Nice casual setting with covered picnic table seating outside. Perfect spot to eat when you’re only in town for the day, but want to get a really good seafood dinner. Even the fries were done perfectly! Very friendly staff, all following the proper safety guidelines for social distancing. We will be going back for sure!

Sylvester’s is one of our favorite places to eat in Avalon, and we’ve been going for about 20 years! Lump crab includes a lot of crab for a reasonable price. Worth the trip!

Sylvester's is a family tradition in the Stone Harbor/Avalon area. A restaurant that's been around for generations, they serve freshly caught seafood at competitive prices. Several cooking options will ensure that your food is served the way you enjoy it most.
Sylvester's could best be described as an outdoor "seafood garden". In lieu of a building, the restaurant consists of finished picnic tables under awnings surrounded by fence panels. Food is served in heavy duty paper take out containers. Sylvester's is BYOB so make sure you bring your favorite beverage to have with seafood.
It won't be a cheap meal, but compared to other seafood joints, you won't leave with an empty stomach.

Great outdoor BYOB seafood. good for small and large parties. Love their coleslaw and their french fries. Come here to pick up shrimp and cocktail sauce too.

Have eaten here at least once every summer for the past 30 years or so while on vacation in Avalon. Love the fresh food, the laid back atmosphere, and the friendly staff. Pricier than you might expect, but not overly so, and absolutely worth it.

Sylvester's is an Avalon tradition - but be prepared to pay a lot of money to eat outside on a picnic bench with your food served in takeout containers. Some may feel it's not with it, but we go once a year, just because it's a tradition.

Me and my family always go here on the last day of our beach holiday. We all get She-Crab soup and mozzarella sticks. We also buy a bunch extra to bring home because its just so, so good! As a person who doesn't like seafood at all, I still love this soup! If I could give this a thousand star rating i would!!
