Roly Poly

So many options that there’s guaranteed to be something you enjoy. I haven’t been in a year or two but glad I thought about it today. It’ll be a regular thought for sure. The to go containers are awesome and keep your food warm and from sliding all over the place. Quick and friendly service, great food, and solid prices. Check it out!

Many years ago, we were stationed in Fayetteville, NC. It was there that I fell in love with Roly Poly, especially their potato salad. This location has the same menu. They have a TON of choices, including the option to build your own. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. The service is good: I was greeted promptly and my food was prepared quickly. I ordered a hot Dixie Chicken, and it was ready within about 10 minutes during lunch time (around 11:30 am). Y'all...THE POTATO SALAD!! If you like loaded baked potatoes, you will like their potato salad. It's creamy and herby and slightly smoky. Yes, there's bacon in it. I have spent the past 10 or so years trying to recreate it, and I can't seem to get it quite right. It's SO delicious! I'm glad to have this place in my neighborhood again. Thank you, Roly Poly, for living up to my high expectations! My family and I will be frequent customers.

Roly Poly is hands down my favorite place to grab lunch in Augusta. I have literally never had anything bad from their menu, although my favorite is a tie between the #55 and the #30. The ingredients are always on-point and so, so flavorful. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is excellent. I never have to wait more than 15 minutes to get my food, and the sweet tea is always fresh. I try to go there on a weekly basis because I get withdrawals when I can't get my fix, haha! Even though the restaurant is a chain, it feels more like a locally-owned mom-and-pop shop because the management and staff are so down-to-earth and accommodating. If you're looking for a good meal, GO HERE!

Service this morning over the phone was very lacking, I called in to see about placing an order for a couple of the platters for a short notice meeting, I knew right away from the tone of the gentleman who answered that he really did not want to be there. I understand people are short staffed right now and if that’s not the case may be having bad day but please the tone of your voice when answering calls for customers sets the mood for the rest of the call. A simple sorry we are not able to help you out today but please give us a try again in the future or anything other than I’m sorry we are over booked and I just can’t do it but in a tone that I could tell you really did not want to be there.

I'm a sucker for a loyal customer punch car and today I finally got to cash mine in at Roly Poly. I got this month's special the Chicken Diablo. It comes stuffed with tender chicken slices, smoked jalapeno aioli, jalapeno jack cheese, chopped green chilies and onion, of course I had to get a bag of ms vickies jalapeno chips to complete the meal. The owner Mark is an awesome guy but also loves to support local just like me, he is always sharing my post about other restaurants. That's what we need are more local businesses supporting other local businesses. Come on down to Roly Poly for lunch and tell Mark how much we appreciate him supporting local.
