Trackside Grill

We read the reviews and it seemed like a good place to get a bite to eat. That turned out not to be the case. I'm not knocking the service because it was fine. However, at 8:00 on a Friday night they were out of three things on the menu. Two of them being entrees. I settled for the salmon that was supposed to be sauteed in a garlic butter. What came out on the plate were two thin filets that looked like the ones that you buy frozen at the grocery store (see photo). The garlic butter was even scooped into a bowl on the side. I settled for the sides only. Fortunately the dish was comped, and we went on our way.

Dinner on a Friday night, and the servers had way too much time on their hands. Our main server, nice lady with red hair, was the only staff actively working. The rest were dancing behind the bar, including kitchen staff coming out while making food to joke about taking shots. The food was fine, but the juvenile staff with no management was a distraction.

We hadn't been here in quite some time and decided to stop in for lunch. Wow... Was it ever a disappointment. What a shame. The food was mediocre, but what was worse was the staff, like another reviewer mentioned, they seemed to have no management around. One staff member was eating an entire meal.. Fries,. Sandwich and all right in plain view of customers. She never once looked up to notice. All while standing right over the beverage prep area and sucking the remains from her fingers. It was just unacceptable in my opinion as someone who has worked in food service, we would've never been seen doing this in plain view! Also, as a business owner, I'd never allow this. Our waitress was polite, she did seem to mix our order up a bit, but it wasn't worth mentioning. The chicken salad was just edible and nothing more. The chunks of celery were massive and the chicken pieces were so large you had to break them up before eating. The Ranch dressing was the worst either of us have ever tasted, so we opted out of eating our salads. My husband enjoyed his turkey wrap. It's unlikely we would return anytime soon, sadly. I rarely post reviews, but felt the owners should be aware of the poor representation some of the staff members are to this establishment, I doubt we were the only guests to notice.

Ordered burger cooked medium and it was past well done and very dry. Had to ask for a side of mayo 2 additional times after asking when I ordered. Wife had chicken tenders that were over cooked, crispy and dry. She had to request honey mustard twice before she got it. Neither one of us were ever asked about a refill on drinks. Seemed they were shortstaffed. The $6 chocolate cake she ordered was also quite disappointing.

Was very disappointed that our experience didn't match the reviews and experiences of our friends. The service was poor. We had to ask repeatedly for silverware, to go boxes, etc. It wasn't very busy, and the wait staff had plenty of time to congregate around the bar, but there was no urgency when it came to quality service. The dining room was uncomfortably hot. My burger was overcooked, as was my mother's steak. Also the onion rings were burnt to a crisp. Pretty sure the kids Mac and Cheese came from a box. A lot of their menu was unavailable. We even asked if they were out anything, they said a few items, but then they ended up having to substitute several things after we ordered. I will not be returning.

Heard they had new owners so decided to give it a try. Service was good as there were only 3 tables seated. But the food was not good at all and was very expensive. They also upcharged me for a side salad without telling me and wouldn't remove it from the bill when I questioned it. $73 bill, with tip, for two bad meals and two glasses of 1/2 off wine. Will not be going back.

ordered the calamari for an appetizer and the oyster po’boy and ruffian ruben for lunch and everything was amazing. the oysters were huge and by far some of the best I have ever had and that’s saying something because we are from the beach! the staff was quick and very friendly. will definitely come back again.
