Perfect stop for a light lunch while strolling thru Ashville. Ordered the veggie humus wrap which was delicious and favorable. Clean, plenty of seating and friendly staff. Organic, vegan and gluten sensitive options available and easily identified on menu. Be sure to take your tray with dishes from table to available bins before leaving. Additional seating and exit door on lower level. Will definitely return when in the area

Went there to meet with someone. The atmosphere and noise level made to meeting easy. The food was not really for me. A little to “whole Wheaties, vegan” but seemed to work great for everyone else in my party.

The green salad wrap within the seasonal portion of the menu was delicious. It was very tasty. I like that they included cranberries for sweetness and walnuts for a textural crunch. The tempeh was well seasoned not dry or overly moist. I really like the sweet potato fries. Definitely a light lunch that's a winner in my book!

I really enjoy all of the Green Sage locations. Good food with a wide array of vegetarian options. Solid coffee. Good place for breakfast, for coffee with a book, for lunch, for a meetup, or for a quick bite

Just came in and ordered the Chipotle Quinoa bowl with chicken and a coffee after a hard workout. It came up to around $25 before a tip and honestly didn't look like much when it came out. I was so prepared to leave hungry and pissed but was PLEASANTLY surprised when I tasted it. The blend of flavors was absolutely on point, the ingredients were fresh and although the portion was small-medium the food was so dense I could barely finish it. I highly recommend. Yes it's a little pricey but you have to look at the ingredient list. You pay for what you eat and groceries ain't cheap.

Pretty good overall. I got the Havana bowl and while it was delicious, it was probably not worth the price. Portion sizes are small in general. On the plus side, the tofu was incredible.
The two employees taking orders at the counter were friendly and helpful, but one of the food runners was surprisingly rude.
The location is alright and the atmosphere is warm and pleasant. Green Sage is somewhere I’d take my parents or a friend visiting town, but I wouldn’t go regularly. Just about everything there I can make for myself at home for a fraction of the price.

Visited Green Sage Cafe Merrimon on the recommendation from the guest desk host at Asheville Botanical garden. It was delicious and exactly what we wanted. Healthy fresh food and a casual comfortable atmosphere ( we sat on the patio as it was a beautiful day). I had the Turkey Rueben. It was so good - loved the kimchi slaw variation on the traditional sauerkraut. My husband the Turkey wrap. There were also many vegan and gluten free choices ( we aren't quite that health-conscious).
We liked it so much, we visited the South Asheville location the next day after hiking at Graveyard Fields. The location on Hendersonville Rd. is smaller but the food and service was top notch at both places. Would you please open a location in Charlotte - preferably near UNCC or Matthews?

THANK YOU Green Sage Café for carrying so many vegan options! My (non-vegan) boyfriend and I visited two days in a row because we were so satisfied. Both days I ordered the Woodstock (sprouted tofu scramble with tomatoes, tempeh "bacon", root hash, toasted ciabatta with vegan "butter"; See attached photo) with a side of kale and onions. It was all really, REALLY good. I can't wait to try more of your offerings. We will be returning next time we're in Asheville!

Really wish I could give this place 5 stars as I really enjoyed my food. The menu has a lot of variety. It all sounded good. I ordered the Havana Bowl and an iced tea. My bill with tip and 10% service fee was over $21. The food was delicious and very flavorful. However, the value just wasn’t there for me. It is not clear what the service fee is for. Who gets that? If you’re going to charge a mandatory service fee then that cost needs to be included in the food price. The men’s restroom was dirty… more specifically the urinal had a ring. Overall, the menu provides a lot of refreshing and cool dishes. But for a weekday lunch $21 was too much. I ordered a latte on the way out. It was a very very good latte but cost me $5 for a small after the service fee.

Warm, welcoming hospitality by staff. Impeccably clean dining area upon entry.
I tried their Chai Latte and found it to be a wonderful blend of tea, cinnamon and ginger flavored. However, I didn't taste cloves or cardamom, but still would highly recommend.
